Heritage Woods would get a 5 in all the categories that are listed. We could not be happier with me. Our loved one has made so many new friends while being there and she lives so much better. My loved one lives there but I know when it's my time I'd like to go there.I love the lay out of the facility. Although they do need more parking.

She loved the staff, facilities and activities. Only issue was the food. Lack of healthy eating options and flexibility of menu choices. For example the food was generally over salted and there were not fresh vegetables on a daily basis. That said she really enjoyed the people.

I enjoy having meals with my family member at Heritage Woods. The food is amazing! The staff is very friendly. The residents are smiling and seem very happy when I visit. I would recommend this community to anyone looking for a new place to call home.

My loved one has asked several times for bathroom sink to be fixed. It doesn't hold water for 30 seconds and my loved one does a lot of sponge bathing. Also, the toilet paper holder hasn't been fixed. Now I don't live there, but I know my loved one doesn't strip their bed anymore because my loved one says, "they don't know how to make it. First-person put bottom sheet over the top. I asked my loved one to show them how they wanted it made. Kind of teach them. (no reply). Last week whoever cleaned the shower flipped the shower curtain and liner over the rod didn't flip it back over. When my loved one did it, several of the hooks came off, my loved one had a very difficult time fixing it, as they are very weak. Staff is kind, my loved one doesn't eat or use dining room. It probably is a good value for the money, if you can get your bed made, and things fixed. My loved one had to go down stairs before to see if they had a delivery. And a case of food was there, rather than delivered to their room. Please don't let my loved on know I've mentioned this, but these are their words. And they should come from my loved one. My loved one likes the entertainment. And still shy about activities. I don't think it's a reflection on A Place for Mom. They were wonderful finding the place. And the family like's Heritage Woods. Just not the things mentioned and would very much appreciate having these things improved, but that's not your fault or place.

It is wonderful, I love it and I could not be happier than I am now living at Heritage Woods. The facility itself is very clean and all of the staff members are super friendly. The food was not the best when I got here, but it is getting better, we have a new chef and he has new ideas and is putting forth new things. The activities director is wonderful, I would give her higher than a 5 if I could. With covid we were kind of bored since we could not go out and do things, but now we are getting back to normal and it has been great. We have had lots of entertainment coming in and we have been going out to do activities. The staff go out of their way to help us and make us happy. I fell in love with my apartment right when I walked in, it is perfect and exactly what I was looking for. The director has been strict on the covid protocols and we still have to wear masks. She was very empathetic when I lost my dog a few months ago. We have a community dog, it is a toy poodle and if I am ever feeling lonely or want cuddles, she lets me come into her office and get the dog. I would most certainly recommend Heritage Woods to others who are looking, it is a great place.

The staff (absolutely everyone) treat our resident with kindness, unconditional acceptance, nurture and support. They are knowledgeable of details of needs and prompt to respond. The culture is warm and friendly.

This is an absolute place you should look at for your loved ones. This is a wonderful community. The staff are easy to work with and are concerned about the residents. My loved one has enjoyed the food here.

The activities are starting to open back up, there are more and more being offered each day. When I first came to look at it, i really liked it but what really sold me was the friendliness of the staff members and the location. They have been very considerate during the pandemic, and trying to keep the residents safe and as active as possible at the same time. The staff are just very caring.

We chose Heritage Woods at the time for independent living, the room size that he got was big and lovely and had a garden view. They were much better for the cost especially compared to others we saw. Overall, it has been a good experience and I would recommend.

The place has really gone downhill since the new director took over. She likes to make things about herself but presents as someone who cares about the folks that live here, when in reality she only cares for herself. She speaks to us residents like we are dumb half the time and does not seem to care about our opinions. I believe multiple residents here are not receiving the care they need and we continuously have new move ins that are not at all appropriate for independent living or even assisted, but it’s rent money paid every month so management does not care who moves in. Too many recent changes for the negative and I will be actively looking for better places to live that are run by someone who actually cares about the PEOPLE and not the money.

It looks better on the outside than in the inside. There is a lot of show and not a lot of meat. The policies and the management on the inside has a lot to be desired. More was promised than before. Safety was a problem there, I had an accident and I had to wait for 911 to come before the staff or anyone came to check on me. The 911 was about 20 minutes later after my fall.

We chose this community because we liked the atmosphere and it was affordable. My mother complains the food is bland, but I have eaten here and it was ok. The thing that is troubling is the showers and bathrooms do not have railings to hold onto. The room sizes are excellent. I would absolutely recommend Heritage woods.

I am writing this review to let everyone know just what to expect from this facility. I have two parents in this facility for the last two years. We started off in independent living and as their health declined we moved to assisted living. I have had to move my father to memory care now but mother still remains at heritage woods. I know the entire staff at this facility, 1st through 3rd shifts through our two-year journey. There is no way anyone could expect better care than what this facility provides PERIOD! I can honestly say I have absolutely zero complaints about anything at heritage woods. My mother is difficult with Alzheimer’s but the staff has embraced her and they know and understand her and she has many difficult days. They treat her with the upmost care and respect even through days when she is less than nice to them. Her apartment is always very clean and so is my mother. They help her pick out her clothes for the day and dress her and she always looks nice and fresh. Anytime there is a concern about her health they call the doctor in without hesitation. Christian Fields is the assisted-living administrator. What an angel she is and a godsend to my family. I recently had to put my father in memory care at a different facility. I have to say he is not clean he is not shaved which I never experienced one day at Heritage Woods.
