Heritage Village Gainesville

My grandma lived alone for years then needed help. I connived my mom to try Heritage Village.

I met initially with [name removed],and then [name removed]regarding my mother Akiko's admission. this was a difficult decision to make for my mom. the Heritage facility appearance was a perfect fit as my mother does not know about senior living options and the appearance was more like a very nice hotel and it did not cause her much anxiety. [name removed] comes from a small town and nursing homes are all she knows and also that they are often for end of life. since moving in she is always up and participating in bingo, movies, games, happy hours/football Sunday, shopping, and going out for lunch, and dining with her group. she has learned a lot being with other residents and is more adjusted to what is now and making the best of her life. this is a stark contrast from being home and not doing very much. thanks so much to[names removed] and all the staff at Heritage Assisted Living. There's been a new management team put in place since earlier this year. They seem to be trying to make overall general improvements. I do believe the cleanliness of the community has declined since my Mom moved in over three years ago. Hopefully, that too will soon be addressed. Also, my mom had to transfer from assisted living to memory care shortly after she moved in. It seems the food selection is better in assisted living.

This community has great team members, there are plenty of opportunities and options to socialize with residents coming from different states and backgrounds. Heritage Village is located in a beautiful quiet and safe area. I enjoy going on outings, either to local restaurants or any other local attractions. I am grateful for the care team who goes above and beyond, they make sure I make progress and reach my recovery goals. I highly recommend this community for your loved one, they will get the care they need here!

It's taken some time for my loved one to settle in but Heritage Village has been wonderful. Definitely gives the feel of an upscale hotel but with very caring staff and a supportive environment that we are happy with. The food is a highlight, too! The entire place is very inviting. A Place for Mom was extremely helpful in that accurate pricing was provided with the facility information so selection was easier. I found the comments by others were also very informative. The articles emailed periodically helped in educating me, providing insight I had not thought about. I am very happy with A Place for Mom and with Heritage Village.

I recently toured Heritage Village in Gainesville, and it was one of the best assisted living communities I’ve visited. The facility is beautiful, very clean, and well-maintained. [name removed], our tour guide, was excellent—extremely knowledgeable about the amenities and all aspects of the community. Overall, I was very impressed with both the staff and the environment. Highly recommend for anyone considering assisted living or memory care.

Heritage Village Assisted Living and Memory Care is now under the leadership of Executive Director [name removed]. While the new changes will take some time to implement, I believe the community will continue to progress positively under his guidance. His team and communication have been excellent. The community boasts a beautiful building and a wonderful staff, filled with kind individuals. From the moment you walk in until the end of your visit, you are warmly welcomed by everyone.

Out of all the communities I have toured this one was impressing . It was the most friendly,clean & welcoming I have ever felt . I am going to choose this one for my loved one . Looking forward to the future here .

I toured this community for my mother. I was pleasantly surprised with how beautiful it was. It was built in 2016 but looks brand new inside. You can definitely tell the staff and residents take pride in their home. The residents were engaged and a few of them spoke highly of the facility when we spoke and asked about it while walking out. This will definitely be the community we choose for our loved one

My mom lived in Heritage Village for 3 years and it is a totally broken facility. I observed no leadership or supervision in memory care. I addressed issues and these major problems were never addressed. I don’t recommend Heritage Village.

Heritage Village is a beautiful facility that is located right next to my Heritage hunt community. My wife has adjusted will since moving into Heritage Village.

Medication confused with other residents and given Med changes not updated Promise of nightly 2 hour bed checks completely false ED more concerned about night shift staying busy interrupting sleeping residents to gather laundry and return clean laundry while turning on lights and often leaving them on than being respectful For residents with family nearby, be prepared to do the work of aids on a daily basis If residents in memory care want coffee with breakfast, good luck, esp on weekends If residents want butter, salt or pepper, hot coffee, hot soup, hot meals, forget it Dining in assisted living affords memory care residents the opportunity to be treated humanely and given choices, but a family member or friend must take them downstairs in order to do this The flooring in memory care extremely slick when wet, falls occur No activities bridging for the various level of dementia in memory care 9 to 5 front desk clerk rating 0 admin pits one family mbr against another for business

The facility is welcoming and clean. The staff is busy and kind. It seems the activities are set for the residents who have been there for a while. I think they need to ask new residents what they would like to do. At the sales meeting we expressed some interest in activities and said the activities director would come around and find out what new residents are looking to do. I'm not sure that has happened. They just started a Milkshake Monday which is a new and fun idea. There also needs to be more encouragement for residents to attend activities.

WE ARE APPROACHING ONE YEAR OF MOM LIVING HERE. WE REALLY APPRECIATE THE CARE AND DEDICATION OF ALL THE STAFF. THE BUILDING & GROUNDS ARE AWESOME.

A well-maintained and lovely residential environment! This seems like a wonderful place to live for those who need assistance with daily living. It would be the perfect place for my loved one to reside in a safe, comfortable and engaging environment.

A great visit starts in the Lobby! We walked in for a quick inquiry for a relative that lives out of state, my wife and I had a very nice talk with the lady at the Concierge desk and we received a call from the marketing representative within hours! The community is welcoming, a couple of employees asked us if we need anything, and a resident even shared about her delicious birthday dinner! Highly recommending this community!

All of the memory care staff are wonderful. There are two care staff that I enjoy the most.

I started volunteering at HV more than 6 years ago, and when my time came to need more help I moved here! I love it here, I made friends!

I like Heritage Village because the people are nice, employees and residents, they make feel at home. And the food is good, it smells good all the time and it's clean. Care staff is always ready to help you!

I would like to recognize the staff at Heritage Village, it's been a pleasure working with he entire executive team. I love how the nurses work with you, the QLS who help me daily. This has been a great place to stay while I've recuperated from back injury.
