Heartis Village North Shore

It's been a positive experience. We picked this community because it was recommended by friends. We toured the community and had what I was looking for.

Heartis is an exceptional facility for memory care! My mother is happy and comfortable and I would recommend Heartis to anyone looking for a safe and inviting place to live. The staff especially the caregivers are unbelievably compassionate and understand the needs of my mom.

I really enjoy spending time in the Bistro to do my Crossword puzzles and socialize. I love the Bingo two times per week. The food is very good, the Community is clean and you would not find better staff.

I have told friends that my mom is very happy in her new home, the staff are welcoming, very friendly, and the medical team overseeing her care communicate well with me. Finding the right place for a loved one can be challenging Go visit the locations, talk to the folks who live there, talk to the staff, and look around with you're loved ones needs (current and future) in mind.

Overall, the facility was not a good fit for my mom. She required total care and it seemed like they were unable to accommodate all of her needs.

Heartis offers a caring environment & beautiful setting. Staff are warm, helpful, and caring. There is a variety of facilities and experiences.

It is a very nice place. I like the people, they are very pleasant. When people enter they are greeted very pleasantly. I am very comfortable here. The food is excellent. I love the courtyard. It is nice to sit out there with other residents and visitors. It is a very nice, homey place. Everyone is so friendly and I feel very welcome. [Name removed], the executive director, is wonderful. He’s easy to talk to and is always smiling.

I am a Resident here at Heartis since May of 2023. I like variety of activities at Our Community. I love the fitness center that I can visit on my own and get physical therapy. I loved our recent outings on the Shuttle to the Zoo and The Domes. I also love walking the grounds, especially be the pond. The food is terrific and we have a great selection to choose from at every meal. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I truly love being a Resident here!

My loved one is currently a resident at Heartis Village North Shore. Overall, her experience at this facility has been good. The friendliness is great. The staff and care services are good. The value is good, also. I have and will continue to recommend Heartis Village North Shore to family and friends.

They did a great job helping my mom adjust to her new environment and make her feel welcome. We picked this community, because of the proximity to my home, levels of care provided, presence of an onsite memory care unit and the interactions I had with staff and residents when touring.

Heartis is a huge improvement over another community my loved one was at. At least for my loved one's care. My loved one loves Heartis and I feel that my loved one is receiving great care.

My parents (89 and 91) do not consider themselves "old," and they were very reluctant to move to assisted living, so I knew I had to find just the right place where they would feel independent, yet supported. I looked at 9 facilities in the Milwaukee area. When I walked into Heartis, saw the beautiful building, and met [name removed], I knew I had found the right place. [name removed], and the entire Heartis team, were patient and encouraging as they helped my parents transition to their new living situation. Everyone, from the residents to the staff, has made my parents feel welcome. They have commented several times, "Everyone here is so friendly!" Their apartment is bright and modern and has a lovely nature view. They enjoy the food and visiting with other residents in the dining room and are eager to try many of the activities. I am so thankful knowing my parents are happy and well cared for and would highly recommend Heartis Village North Shore.

My loved one did not like the food, and had higher expectations. We picked this community because, it was recommended, and it was a good location. They have a lot of staff turnover, and sometimes the communication is a bit slow getting assiatnce, when pressing the call button for help. Overall, It was a very nice community. I would recommend to other families.

My experience is with memory care. They typically have three care givers at a time when I visit. Most often on they are on the phone, eating, or playing games with each other. They should not be on their phones. Also, they are not invloved with patients. My biggest concern is, my loved one rarely get s a shower, in which she should receive weekly. Her clothes are dirty and she smells. They have told me that, my loved one does not allow them to provide a shower or clean clothes. Someone on the staff, should earn her trust, and provide the care that is needed. There is no action being taken.

Laundry could be done more promptly.

On the corporate side, communication is non existent. I would repeatedly email and call and would not get any response. They told me that they were getting Title 19 and every time I asked they would not be able to give me any answers. It got down to the wire and my loved one was running out of funding so we decided to move her out.
