We came to Grayson Court looking for a place we could be content with an our new life style. Due to my husband’s health, we had to transition to assisted living. So, to do this & have access to good medical care, the move from Kansas to Texas was the decision that was made. It put us close to our daughter because both sons lived in rural communities in Kansas. We had lived in Texas 25 years ago, so we knew we would like it here. Our first choice of residence was not the right one and made very unhappy. Then, I got a call from Grayson Court inviting us to visit. They came to visit us & then we went for a tour. The environment was so welcoming. The atmosphere was homey, residents were out visiting & doing activities. The staff welcomed us and we had a very pleasant tour. The apartment available was so nice that we made a decision to move. Since coming here, we have been so happy with efficient staff, delicious food, activities & many friends. Grayson court has been a real partner in helping my husband and I cope with his long term recovery. I find them kind and responsive to his needs at all times. They have worked well with the home health service providers that come to provide medical support several times weekly.

Everyone has been very helpful, attentive and sweet to my mother. She has had several falls in her room and the staff is always quick to respond when she pushes her emergency pendant. The menu has improved over the last several months. Our family is very pleased with the care and support our mother receives at Grayson Court.

Everybody at the home is very helpful and kind. They always do their best to keep things in front of you. No surprises everybody on the same page. The most important thing is my mom enjoys being there and me having a peace of mind that my mom is being cared for and safe. Appreciate them every day..

I am so thankful to have my mom in this place. Even though Mama is bedridden and has many needs, the staff treats her with much love and care. I visit almost daily, and I witness the tender, respectful treatment every resident received. The facility is clean, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is positive. The administration is very responsive to any concerns and the staff works well together. It’s wonderful to see such genuine care given to the people who call this place home. I’ve been so impressed with how the staff treats the residents as though they are family! To me, Grayson Court deserves 5 Stars in every area.

My dad has been living at Grayson since 2020 and receives the best care. The facility is always clean, decorated for every holiday and smells good. The residents have lots of activities and fun outings. I would highly recommend Grayson to any of my friends and relatives.

I have had many patients at Grayson and recommended to all my future patients and family members. It's not only a beautiful place to live. They have amazing staff that take care of your loved ones. [name removed] the ED is a treasure to have there as well as all her other precious staff, all the activities [name removed] does is amazing and I love being a part of them.

Grayson Court used to be a pretty good facility, however things have changed. The RN Care Coordinator is not compassionate at all and doesn't interact with the residents. In my opinion, elderly care is not where she should be. In addition, there is a high staff turnover because she's not good to her staff. It appears that she provokes residents and then writes them up as a tactic to increase care costs. I witnessed this with several residents, not just my loved one. The meals are okay, but if residents can't physically make it to the dining room they will withhold food vs delivering it to their room. There is not a lot of variety. There is a huge disconnect between administration management and care management. The administrator appears to be compassionate about what she does, but there is a huge power struggle between her and the care services manager. They are not receptive to resident or resident family input on activities. There is a high turn over in this area as well. I would advise anyone to check their contracts very closely. They wanted to raise the base rent (not care plan) in under 3 months of moving my loved one in, even though we were told it wouldn't be evaluated and raised until the 1 year anniversary. We were also told that when they are at 100% capacity they raise rates. Basically, it frees up some rooms for higher payors. In the end, they evicted my loved one to get a higher paying tenant and offered to move her to another one of their properties in Gainesville. The fact that she was evicted from one property but accepted at another property, under the same company, told me all that I needed to know.

My mother has been there for a couple of months now and has begun to adapt. Partially it has just been issues adjusting to not living at home anymore. But she is not happy with the food. And there aren't a great deal of activities. A lot of it is staffing shortages. It's just so hard to keep people right now, as is the case everywhere. The staff who are there are really nice. The director is really nice, and I communicate with her frequently. The outdoor area unfortunately some patients can't go out on their own. There's not enough staff to make the accommodations for people to get outside, although she has been able to go out a couple of times on pleasant Spring days. Cleanliness is about average in the rooms. The rest of the facility is very clean. I just wish they could make it in more often to the residents' rooms to vacuum and change sheets and things, although I know they're doing the best they can.

Our initial tour was so compelling we only toured one other facility. We have not been disappointed. Administration and staff are outstanding. Our relative seems to be very happy there and grateful for their service.

Our parents were only there for about a month but during that time we could see how clean the community was. The meals were good but at times they could of used more vegetables. The location was key for our family and we would recommend this community to others.

The staff has gone above and beyond to try to help my loved one. I moved her from a severe hoarding situation, and she has taken that behavior with her. They are very much on top of going through her trash and making sure they help keep that behavior at bay.
Grayson Place is a fantastic place to send your loved ones! My brother’s mother-in-law stays there and it’s truly a “home away from home.” The staff treats everyone like family and they care for our loved one with such compassion. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a place that you can trust they will take care of your loved ones like it was their own family member. I have nothing but the utmost gratitude for Grayson Place. It’s truly been a godsend for our family!

A Place for Mom has scored Grayson Court 9.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
