Glen Park at Monrovia

The administration here is very incompetent. One likes to play with the residents meds as if she was a doctor when she is not. The other is lost 90 percent of the time. Neither has any business running this facility. My loved one has gone without meds and has been subject to racist remarks from her roommate as well has attempted physical attacks. When she complained she was told to keep quiet or she would get a “worse” roommate. There has been a lot of inconsistencies in med techs. The good ones have been sent away for unknown reasons by the admins. The community and the residents are suffering because of this. This place is going downhill fast. There is next to no outings and very few activities done here. There is no dietary technician to oversee the menu which consists of all things high in salt and very few if any veggies. The care staff spend more time in the dinning room chatting than they do attending to residents. Especially during lunch time. An overhaul is much needed.

There are strict regulatory audits force meticulous processes to be adhered to, when being able to administer medications. There are no discrepancies allowed from doctor's orders and administrating of prescriptions which often times causes delays and frustration for the residents and families to be able to expeditiously receive medications prescribed from their doctors. Kaiser has difficulty communicating with the community and the community has difficulty communicating with Kaiser and this causes more delays.

My Love One has spent many happy years at Glen Park Monrovia. Many of the Staff has been there long-term. Their love and dedication to their patients is very evident. From the Activity Dir. to the Cooks, Office Staff, etc show professionalism on a daily basis. I do have one concern. Sometime last year management felt the need to stop Med Techs from dispensing medication. There had been one overseeing this and during that time I was comforted by her efficiency. However, since this change we have had to deal with Staff arguing about following Doctors orders to adjust medication. Not ordering meds in a timely manor to the point of being out of meds up to 10 days and other inconvenient things. This never happened when the very Capable Med Tech was providing oversight and dispensing the meds. Sometimes change mearly for the sake of change is problematic. Other wise I can only express love and appreciation for the service at Glen Park Monrovia.

I like being able to share my past experiences with the staff and residents. The staff members do a lot for all of us and I really respect them for all the work they do. I feel so grateful to live here.

I like the people, I like living here and want to stay here for a long time because this is my home. I like everyone here because it is peaceful and I like the food they serve.

I like it here because the residents are my friends and they help me when i want to do something like reorganize my room. I love the staff because they are easy to talk to and they help me solve problems instead of solving them for me. I really like the outings and playing bingo at the bingo bash, all the activities are fun and relaxing.

I like the congeniality of the facility. I really love the administrator [name removed] because she cares about everyone. The staff are all very good to me and I really like how attentive they are to me because I am ill. I love all the residents because they feel like my family and they make me feel at home here.

Everything is excellent at this facility.

I want to thank everyone working in the facility so much for the care that has been provided to my grandmother. The staff is caring and very professional.

I am a resident and I couldn't feel right any place but here. I consider the residents as my family and I love every one of them. I also love the caregiver because she is nice to me and others.

Love the vibe of this facility when I come here. Staff are very happy and they keep their residents very happy. They treat their residents like their own family. The first time I entered this facility, I knew this was the right facility for my Mother.

I love this place, everything about it is nice. The staff is wonderful, specially the administrator because she takes time with everyone to see how they're night went and how they are doing. My favorite activity is playing bingo. The staff is available when you need them and the food is good, specially the spaghetti.

I am very comfortable here because they do as much as they can to help me with all my needs. If I have any problems, I can always get assistance from them. I do not participate in many activities but they are good about letting me relax and talk to people.

My room is nice and quiet and I really like the menu options because they give you dessert. I like that I can walk around and talk to people. I also really like the staff because they care about you and I enjoy their company.

This is only the facility I would trust for my loved one. They provide such a quality care for their clients. They all seem very happy and seem to be in safe environment. They have alarms on their doors. They call me and let me know everything that is going on with my mother. I am very impressed with this facility.

I couldn't be more happier when I found this facility. The environment is very peace filled with love. Staff are great. Menu is great. The facility is old but well maintained. I am glad that I found this facility for my family. No complaint at all. I actually have lot of compliments.

I love the facility. I love caregivers that work here. They seem to be very attentive. I love the activities even though i do not want to attend all activities. I love so much about the place.
