My husband was a patient in Garden Spring Center for two months. When he arrived he was unable to walk and needed help with all ADLS. I cannot say enough about the staff, the therapists and the administrators. The staff worked together as a team, encouraged my husband and he slowly began to improve. When discharged he was sorry to go and was able to walk again and enjoy the company of others.... Read more

GARDEN SPRINGS IS DREADFUL!!!! My aunt is an unfortunate resident there for the past 2 years. She is unable to move about on her own. She needs help with almost all of her personal needs, walking, toileting, eating, etc. Many times she has asked for a nurse/aid to assist her to the bathroom. They tell her to go in her "diaper" and they'll clean her later. Well, later - is many many hours later. My sister recently visited her (about 2 weeks ago) and the smell in her room was awful. More fowl than usual. My aunt had gone #2 in the early evening before and the nurses/aides still had not changed her as of 2:00 pm the following day. While my sister was visiting my aunt went #2 again in the same diaper. My sister said to push for the nurse. My aunt quickly said "NO" they'll be mad. Needless to say my sister pushed for the nurse and there was no response. She went to the nursing station right outside the room and there was NO ONE at the nurses station and NO STAFF anywhere on the entire floor. THAT IS CRIMINAL!!!! In the past year, my sister has complained and even tried to cajole the nursing staff to take better care of my aunt but she continues to receive very poor care. Of course there are some staff who occasionally do the right thing but overall her care is very poor. Another example is the poor quality of food served to patients. My sister actually observed lunch being served. It consisted of a very small club role with 1 thin slice of ham placed on the roll with a few chips on the plate. That was considered lunch. Disgraceful!!!! PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE IN THIS FACILITY.- THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS.. THIS PLACE IS HORRID AND NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED.
