Across 23 acres of beautiful wooded greenery lies Friends Care Community — a continuing care retirement community with independent living services. While the community was established in 1980, the independent living cottages opened in 2002. Located in a residential area in the small town of Yellow Springs, Ohio, the community is less than 60 miles from Columbus and is within driving distance of the local hospital. Additionally, seniors can explore the small town's variety of restaurants — from Mexican to Indian — available. Plus, seniors who enjoy hiking or bird watching can explore the local nature preserves.
In addition to living in a small town, residents can choose between the open-concept two- and three-bedroom homes, complete with spacious walk-in closets. These houses may include a private patio, fireplace, skylight, and garage. Additionally, the community values a stress-free lifestyle and provides maintenance services like lawn landscaping. While living at Friends Care Community, residents receive on-call, round-the-clock home health care. Beyond independent living, residents can find a continuum of care on campus with assisted living, long-term living (i.e. skilled nursing), and rehabilitation services. Seniors can age in place in the homelike ambience of Friends Care Community.
