Having lived here nearly six years, which includes during the pandemic, I honestly feel it was a good move. During the pandemic every precaution was made to prevent infection but we felt well cared for. Now we enjoy many of the widely varied activities offered throughout the week as well as good fellowship with friends in our apartments and over meals. A real advantage is the transportation options offered. A large bus is available for day trips, beach walks, Hope college basketball or concerts; smaller vans, some with w/c lifts, are for small groups or individual trips to the Dr., library, shopping, etc. All in all it’s a great community to live in.... Everyone we've met here really loves it. Great location. You can walk to town in 3 minutes and it's situated on a large park, Windows on the Waterfront.

We are loving it. Better than we expected. Food is good. Lots of variety. Have been responsive to all our requests for fixing up the things we've asked for on our apt. Friendly residents and staff. Lots to do. Great little city of holland.

We toured this community. the staff was nice and they seemed to care about what we needed for mom. The community was clean and the had a lot to offer. The menu was appealing and they offered a list of activities. We did not want a community that was big for my mom.We would recommend the care and value of this community to other families.

I have no complaints about how things are going for my loved one since she made the move into this community. Every time I have gone to visit I have been pleased with what I have seen and think the staff do a great job maintaining the facility for all of the residents. She seems be comfortable in her new living environment and has no problems with how things are going. I would recommend it to anyone interested in a place for there loved one.

Terrible new staff and management. It is obvious they only care about the money.

My loved one is having a little trouble settling in, but I think Freedom Village at Holland is doing a good job overall. It's a clean, nice looking community, and the staff have all been very friendly so far. They seem to have a good variety of activities and services they provide for their residents, and they also do a good job with the food!

A Place for Mom has scored Freedom Village at Holland, a CCRC 8.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
