I am currently a patient at Franklin Woods right now and I’d probably have better care in Jail!! This place is Dirty, smelly, under staffed, horrible food!, No one to make sure that Anything gets done, No one advocating for the patients, they lay in urine and feces All Day, they don’t get turned and positioned, No one feeds the ones who can’t feed themselves… 1 out of 5 nurses actually cares .. same with the aids. This place needs to be Closed!!!!!!! It’s positively Disgusting!!! Please don’t bring your loved ones here!!!!!

My mom was there for a short time in [date removed] for rehab following surgery. She developed an infection that left a hole in her hand! They then applied another patients prescription ointment on her. ( I have your medicine [name removed]!). If I could attach photos, I would!

During the weekend my mom suffered for at least four and a half hours laying in a wet pad and bedding. She rang for the nurse numerous times. Also, took hours to receive pain meds. This same thing happened to her last weekend. When I saw her Monday morning she looked unkept and in pain. We chose this facility because at one time we heard good things, now I would never suggest it to anyone. There is no reason to be short staffed on the weekends and patients enduring this kind of care.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would! My Grandmother (89) was placed their for rehab and the care she received was horrific, the food was bad and some days, no food was even served. The nursing staff was not helpful or polite in any way. All in all, terrible. Please do not send your loved one to this facility.... And worst of all, when we were notified that the insurance was coming to an end, they said she needed at least another week of therapy and to appeal, which we did. After a week we found out that the appeal was denied. What they didn't tell us (Specifically), was that we were liable for her stay while they were making this decision and we wound up with a bill over $5000.00. They gave some paperwork to my Grandfather (91) to sign and told him it was for liability and insurance purposes. At no time did they say to anyone, that we were responsible for any costs. They can say what they want, but I am 100% sure this was on purpose to take advantage of the elderly. When I spoke personally to the Business Manager, she was rude said my Grandfather signed the papers and that was it. This is why places like this have the reputations they do. If you have to pick a place, DO NOT choose Franklin Meadows

A Place for Mom has scored Franklin Woods Center 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
