We were some of the first to enter Fountain Hills. We literally had to wait a few days for it to open. Like many children caring for their aging parents, it was scary. It proved to be the BEST decision I could have made. The care and love from the staff was remarkable. It was like they were caring for their own parents! From a medical and logistical standpoint, it was well staffed, clean and well managed. Oh, and the food was great. My wife and I used to make up reasons to go eat. My parents could be challenging, but they proved to be patient and caring, even when they were difficult. I highly recommend Fountain Hills for anyone who wants the best for their loved one!!

I really liked the manager and the staff I met - the reason we did not give a higher score is because, after 3 weeks in the hospital, and getting our loved one situated in this facility, I apparently wasn't noticing small things. I visited about every other day. After he passed, the funeral home gave me their personal effects, including our loved ones wedding ring. What I was given wasn't theirs, someone had switched rings. Our loved ones ring did not have really high value, but our loved one liked it. I have since heard that this sort of thing happens. But as I said in the beginning, I really liked and appreciated the director and the 2 staff I met. They seemed kind, skilled and compassionate. It was a difficult time for my son and I. Much of our loved ones care was also provide by hospice. They had a lovely dining room and it always looked and smelled really good, however, my husband was on soft food and was there only a short while. With activities I heard about some fun activities there but I do not believe my husband participated on any of them.

I just completed a 2-month stay at fountain Hill Assisted Living and I can completely recommend it. The facility is gorgeous with vaulted ceilings and the rooms are large and comfortable. I went in as a transition stay on my way to the East Coast and they made every effort to accommodate me. I have atypical ALS so when I was unable to push the call button, they put in Alexa so I could send a message by voice. In every way they made sure that I was taken care of, even giving me water every 2 hours through the night since I couldn't reach a water bottle. I can't say enough good things about this facility!

Fountain Hill Assisted Living looks like a very comfortable and beautiful place to call home. which is reassuring to the residents. Our father seems happy to be there. The staff is loving, kind, and truly helpful. The staff takes remarkable care of the residents and our father. Also, the food looks healthy, nutritious, and the schedule revolves around the residents, which is remarkable. We are at peace and truly grateful that he is safe and being cared for when we are not there. We are blessed to have found a great place for our father.

My mother was the first resident at Fountain Hill. I remember the caregiver sitting outside of her room the whole night because she was concerned for her. Since then, my mom has made many friends, her health has improved and she loves her room! My mother has been at Fountain Hill for about [time frame removed] now and everyone has continued to be kind, respectful and very accommodating to our requests. The facility is growing now, and my mother continues to be very happy there.

This is a friendly facility that is a good size--not too big. Rooms are bright, and bathrooms large. Caretakers are friendly and talkative with residents and have a good attitude. They maintain good relationships with outside health and hospice facilities.

My wife and i were unexpectedly faced with the need for assisted living for my parents. One minute my parents seemed to be fine. They were living on their own, caring for themselves, preparing food, etc. The next, they had no idea how to do the most basic things. We began to look for help and encountered Fountain Hill Assisted Living. They weren't even open, but let us in and showed us around. Once they opened we placed both of my parents in their facility. Numerous issues came up related to their care. My parents showed basic memory loss, dementia, failure to thrive, anger, among others. The staff at Fountain Hill was understanding, caring, knowledgeable and professional. They provided resources, care and love. Both parents passed away [time frame removed] while staying in Fountain Hill. I cannot think of a better place for them to have been. They helped us every step of the way, up to and including the funerals. They passed away knowing that everyone around them loved them!

A Place for Mom has scored Fountain Hill Assisted Living 7.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
