We picked this community, because of the location (closer to children) was an important factor. More importantly, however, was their tiered system for different care levels which some other places did not have.I would recommend it highly. The 40+ residents there are friendly and welcoming. The staff goes out of their way to be accommodating. For example, for her birthday, they ask what foods she would like for dinner, and made a special effort to prepare these favorites for not only her but all the residents.... Read more

I toured Eastland Retirement Community and it was okay, it just wasn't my cup of tea. It wasn't a good fit for me. The cleanliness and friendliness seemed okay during my tour.
I have lived here for a year and love it. The residents and employees are very friendly and helpful. The meals are very good and I think nutritious I gave a lower score because of need for more help which is reflected.

My mother lived at Eastland for 8 years. During that time she made many friends. Our experience was always good, and Eastland was always willing to accommodate as our mother's needs changed.

I like this community for the excellent care for my mom. The staff is always active for the care for my mom. The meals are very good with a nice variety. They do offer the residents to get involved with the activities. The environment here is outstanding. We would highly recommend this community for the good care and value to other families.

A Place for Mom has scored Eastland Retirement Community 8.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
