Beautiful facility and lovely room but that’s where the positivity ends. The amount of money this place asks for would give you hope of butlered gold stared service! What you get instead is a staff seemingly uninterested in being involved with their residents. They sit in the “bubble” (their term for the windowed nurses’ station) and huddle the residents outside of it so they can ‘watch them’ as they watch a small screen tv. The interaction between staff and resident does NOT seem to follow their “blue grotto” approach where residents will have a 1:1 interaction. A very depressing place with a turnover staff serving sub par food (no choice in menu) and little to no activity stimulating energy. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SENDING SOMEONE YOU LOVE TO THIS FACILITY!

Excellent tour by [Removed]. Appears to be a very well run facility. Very clean. Staff was very friendly. We will definitely consider Aster a contender for Moms care.

My tour of the Aster Memory Care of Cottage Grove went very well. The place is very clean and the staff was very friendly. The main reason we did not choose this community was because of the price. It was very expensive.

A Place for Mom has scored Drumlin Reserve Memory Care 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
