Discovery Village at Naples

I researched approx. 7 assisted living facilities and I found Discovery village had all the specifics that we wanted for my Mom. The staff, the healthcare workers the nurses and every employee at this facility were very attentive! The facility was immaculate and so well decorated. It really felt like a HOME and not just a facility! Our decision to choose Discovery Village was because of the close proximity to our home (2miles) That does makes a difference! My Mom does seem happy here! She says hi to everyone!!! She has more mental stimulation and interaction here! I Definetly would recommend Discovery Village Naples!

I think the facility itself is very nice. They keep it very clean. I think they have staffing issues, I'm not sure it's different from any other assisted-living facility. But the one thing they really need to improve on is their food. It's awful.

Apartment is comfortable. It is kept very clean. All workers are friendly and helpful. Food is tasty and varied. There’s a nurse on duty at all times. Pets are allowed for a fee. It is the next best thing to home.

We chose Discovery Village because of the location, offerings of activities, culinary quality, how they are willing to go the extra mile whenever needed. They are amazing, each taking the time to learn all about each resident and developing a comfortable rapport that extends to their family members.

We having but positive things to say about the place. We wouldn't hesitate to choose the same place again. They have some amazing staff, very caring. Only negative thing we can say is food could have been better. Hope this helps.

Our family is really happy with Discovery Village, even though our loved one did not want to go. The staff have really worked with him knowing he was having a difficult adjustment. I would absolutely recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.

If a friend asked I would tell them that overall Discovery Village has not disappointed me. My parents were very reluctant to leave their home and did not believe they belonged in assisted living (they were 91 and 92, and DID). After a number of months adapting to their new environment they have come around to believe they are being well cared for and are very happy living at Discovery Village. I chose Discovery Village after visiting approximately 6 different facilities. One of my key criteria was location as I live in Naples and have two brothers in Marco Island. However, that being said, all 6 met this criteria. Discovery Village was impeccably clean. The dining room and bar/lounge area have an upscale ambiance, which makes it feel less like an assisted living facility. The staff, in particular, [name removed], Senior Lifestyle Coordinator, was absolutely wonderful to work with in terms of everything involved with the decision to choose DV as well as move-in and orientation. Also, [name removed], Activities director, was incredibly enthusiastic describing and following up on all of the stimulating activities offered to the residents.

We chose Discovery Village at Naples mainly because of the convenient location and the apartment. All of the staff have been wonderful!

The facilities kept very clean and most of the staff are friendly and trying to help. I don't think they do a great job of communicating what your money pays for. When your person needs additional help, they won't give you a list of exactly what the additional cost covers. I find that very odd. And the food is not very good. They need a bigger variety. Survey the residence and see what they would like to participate in. Try to put groups of people together who like to do the same thing, for example bridge groups.

We really like the inclusion for the staff team, they are great about being engage with their residents and we appreciate their attention. Our loved one really likes the pool that is there and the activities - there are plenty of different things to do. Based on our experience we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

The meals started out being a 5 out of 5, but they have gone through some recent changes in management so sometimes the meals are a hit or miss. The overall friendliness of the staff stood out to us from the beginning.

The activities could be improved, they need more then bingo but we would still recommend this community to others.

I like the flexibility that this new community offers. I consider the all inclusive utilities (except phone) plus TV and internet and weekly house cleaning to be big pluses. The concept of a food/etc. card is also a plus. The fact that the building is new is another plus. In other words, "what's not to like!" The staff I have met so far have been very knowledgable and pleasant to work with.

My mother is looking for an independent living facility near family and this location and amenities check all of the boxes. [Name removed] graciously showed us the plans and helped with securing an apartment. She answered our questions and researched some particulars that were not counted. [Name removed] returned our calls promptly and helped us to feel confident with early decisions. We anxiously await the ground opening and moving mom in as a charter resident.

Although this New Campus, next to the existing D.V. is not yet complete, [name removed] has done an excellent job of explaining how it will look and provide the home and services that we need. It looks like it will be very nice - very upscale with beautiful dining and recreation facilities. Big thanks to [name removed] and staff!

We only have limited feedback because the independent liing facilities were under construction. The assisted facilities and the main building were fine. [Name removed] was personable and gave us a guided tour that was enjoyable.

I am pleased and contented with [Name removed] at our dining room. She always stops and asked if we are unhappy or happy, our service is always from a waitress and the waiter.
