Memory care is a difficult environment for staff and residents. I found the staff to be very caring and patient. Many residents are alone and many do not have the ability to communicate, however the staff was wonderful. My family spent Mother's Day with my mom, there were activities for everyone to participate. My mom passed away shortly afterwards but we have the pictures and memories of that day to remember her by.... Read more

Excellent job keeping us safe. I live in a cottage with no assistance. I am entitled to one meal per day. I am entitled to pick which meal, lunch or dinner. However, nearly without exception, the lunch item for the day is not available and I must take the dinner selection offered that day. The dinners are poorly planned and poorly prepared. Last week, the starch four nights in a row was a rice based dish. Often, the main course dish is not what was described. For example, two out of the last three times salmon was listed, the dinner delivered to me was a white fish. Often the mean course will be described as having a sauce. Nearly always there will be little or not sauce on the entrée. Often, the meat is so over cooked it is tough to cut and chew. Looking forward to dinner is a great disappointment. The main concern of the company/owner is cost per person, not quality of the experience provided. Luckily, the staff is kind and caring and I appreciate their the service they do provide. Unfortunately, there are few senior residential options in our community and I have no choice but to remain at Crystal Terrace.

They have a fine staff. They all try to make our lives go as much as normal as they can during the pandemic. I like the people here, they even put up with my continuous talking. P.S. still interested in 1 bedroom.

Dear mbk: I am the son of a 94 year old client in Crystal Terrace Memory Care in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Crystal Terrace is a wonderful place. However, I cannot say mbk has "...done it's best." The transportation for wheelchair clients is poor in my opinion. The wheel chair ride and the roads to the hospital are rough in the back of the bus while strapped in a wheelchair. I've brought this up before and I can't, regrettably, say mbk really cares. If the owners of mbk really cared, they'd get in a wheelchair and take a short ride, strapped in the back of the Crystal Terrace bus, down to Skylakes Hospital and then back to Crystal Terrace. Only then might they understand what my 94 year old mother, with her 94 year old spine, endures every three weeks when she makes this trip. Since I go with her all the time, I get to hear her yelp in pain every time we hit the dozens of cracks in the road. This surely affects other elderly clients as well. The reason there might not be many other complaints could be because most clients don't travel with family. I request that a high up Crystal Terrace executive take this ride in the Crystal Terrace bus. Only then might they understand. Until then, I cannot say that Crystal Terrace has done it's best. Hopefully my review will not fall on deaf ears Other than the above problem, the mbk care is absolutely excellent. But I wish the above complaint and not the compliment be the focus of this letter. If it were not for the above stated problem I'd give Crystal Terrace Memory Care a whopping 5 stars. In conclusion: Please imagine yourselves at 94 years old as you ride in a wheelchair in the back of the Crystal Terrace bus riding over cracks in our town's improperly maintained roads. Please forward this to a high up Crystal Terrace Executives. Most Sincerely, A loving Son

All of our daily needs have been so well taken care of that we have little to worry about getting done. It would be nice though to be able to go to activities such as bingo and cards for a diversion. You can only watch so much TV or read. We're well taken care of, and the staff is so nice!

I really wish for some activities. Maybe "sing a song" or "name that time" in the hallways, even listen to [name removed] play the piano. It would be nice to see and get acquainted with [name removed]. We really need something to do.

I have been very satisfied with the care of this facility. It has been a lovely time of disturbing situations with caregivers and complete compliance with state guidelines. We have been in communication with letters and upcoming events but no visits.

I have been happy as a resident the last few years. The administration and leadership team has provided and maintained activities for our enjoyment and enrichment and always treat us with respect and consideration. The food is delicious and plentiful. We are allowed choices depending on our individual choices. The staff is efficient, friendly, and helpful. Crystal Terrace, not only is a pleasant and comfortable place for me to live; it is my home.

I do not have another community with which to compare. But there are many pluses and minuses in my experiences here.

The one reason why I didn’t pick this facility is that it is too big with too many people. Right off the bat, my Mother said she was overwhelmed. This is a very nice community and it’s the Cadillac of the area. All of the staff members here are nice and very professional. They were excellent in communicating with me and when we said we were not picking them, they even offered to refer us somewhere else. I would recommend this facility to other families but it is more expensive than other places.

A Place for Mom has scored Crystal Terrace of Klamath Falls 8.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
