Creekside Oaks Retirement Community

I was lucky to get a perfect one bedroom unit at Creekside oaks. It is a lovely place, with wonderful people. I feel blessed! Creekside Oaks offers many things to do plus, . the location is Ideal There is a nice walking trail in back for those who enjoy walking plus all the other activities, there is something for everyone.

My parents are currently residents at Creekside Oaks Retirement Community and I think that they would recommend this community to others. They seem to be pleased about the activities and the staff.

Creekside Oaks has a warm, feel to it and has a beautiful, peaceful backdrop of a natural green space. The staff is friendly and helpful and they offer several activities for their residents.

My mom complains constantly that there is not enough to do Or there are activities scheduled and they get cancelled. She does not eat 3 meals ever there. So there should be a plan that lessens the cost for those who never eat breakfast, etc. everyone is very friendly . Sometimes older people are just crabby.

After my dad passed away, we were concerned about my mom living alone in a big house. Managing home maintenance, cooking, cleaning, socializing, etc. for my mom and us, it wasn't the right choice for her to move in with us because we are still working, and she would be alone in our home as well. So we toured various facilities, and Mom came to the realization that Creekside Oaks would be the best place for her to live in this next stage in her life. My mom is living! She is socializing more than I ever thought, she is participating in exercise classes 4 days a week, going on field trips, and taking part in social events. Mom is very happy and very well taken care of. This gives me a lot of peace knowing mom is happy, safe and enjoying life!

Part of the reason my ratings are on the lower side is because she was robbed in the first week she was here. She had jewelry taken and that included her wedding ring of 50 years. I filed a complaint and was ignored. The manager finally answered and said he was not going to do anything about it and was not willing to let the employee go. Then he hung up on me. He then quit 2 weeks later and we don't know who the manager is now. No one has followed up with me. We requested that this employee not be in her room and he is still going in there. I have been very disappointed. I filed a police report as well and nothing has been done. I would commend the place other than this experience.

My mom wanted a community to live in that helped her with cooking, cleaning, and socialization. We visited several communities in the area, and Creekside Oaks in Folsom was our ultimate choice. After living there for a few months, I'm happy to say that mom is happier than she's been in years! She has a group of friends that play cards with her, and she is no longer watching TV all day! The food is fantastic! We have eaten at the community with her several times, and we have received a top notch restaurant experience. Our servers are kind and helpful, and the food comes out hot! There are lots of choices. There are two lunch and dinner options, and lots to choose from for breakfast. If you don't care for the food served that night, there is an extensive alternative menu that has anything you may want. The soups are made fresh every day! Thank you, [name removed]! Best chef ever! This is a nice community that is close to a lot of amenities. It is easy for the residents to go shopping to the local stores. The average age of the resident is probably in their 80s, it is a little older than I originally thought. The food is very good.

Creekside Oaks is a very nice place and the people here are great. The meals being served are not has nutritionally sound as I would like for them to be, there tends to be to much salt. However, they offer many alternative meal items if you don't like what they are serving that day. Other than that, I would not want to move anywhere else, I love it here.

[name removed] was the best. She was very friendly, knowledgable, efficient and assisted us all the way. We signed my Mom up and are anxious for her to start experiencing all that the community has to offer her at this time of her life. [name removed] was also helpful acquiring information we requested and agreeing to act in [name removed] place should [name removed] be unavailable. It's a very nice, friendly, clean place.

Our loved one is happy there, however there has been a big turnover and we aren't sure exactly what is going on. The head director left with no explanation and the one that placed our loved one has left so its all new people. This community is very clean, it is wonderful. It is more expensive, but not the most expensive. Our loved one likes the activities, she participates in the exercise classes, there is always something going on. With COVID it has been difficult. It is a really cool place and has a good vibe

2017:mom liked spaciousness and large one and two bedroom units. residents looked happy and active. menu good though no vegetarian options. independent living only. UPDATE: 1-18-2018 visit. Prices have gone up quite a bit, no 2 BR available, 4 people on waitlist already. Saw reg 1 BR approx 550 sq ft and lg 1 BR approx 650 sq ft, larger one with balcony would work for her liv room furniture, tight for bedroom furniture. Small kitchenette, W/D in units, covered parking avail for extra charge. Food was good, people looked happy and were friendly, but mom did not like the muddy beige color scheme. Last time she really liked this community, this time she did not.

The tour we had was okay because they were full and did not have a room to show us. I didn't like how they was no room to show us. We also needed a fast move in and they had a waiting list at the time.

I toured many communities and one being Creekside Oaks. It was a very nice community. All of the staff were welcoming and the tour guide that took me around the building was knowledgeable and friendly. It was a good experience, but not the best for my loved ones.

I have had a good experience since my move to the Creekside Oaks. My favorite thing is the food, it is wonderful. I have joined many activities and the residents here are very friendly. I highly recommend this community.

This is a five star facility, as five star can be! We moved Mom in about a year ago. She is not a big social buff, however, the employees and staff have continually reached out to her and made this her home. I am so impressed with Sadek [removed]! He was our first contact on our initial visit, as community director. He now leads the management team as general manager and continues to do an exemplary job. He is kind, intuitive, thoughtful, professional, motivated, and well suited for this occupation. A true leader. If anyone is looking for a place to land Mom or Dad, or both, you owe it to yourself to get acquainted with Sadek and his staff, and take a tour of this superbly run facility. A big thanks to all of the staff members who take the time to personally get to know the residents. It is greatly appreciated!

We have not used the care services. They do not have that many offsite places and they only take them, unless they request it. They have bingo night and card games.

My Dad moved into Creekside Oaks one year ago. Although the transition from his home was challenging for him, the amazing staff, friendly residents and numerous activities made a difficult time for him much easier. Now he can't imagine living anywhere else and is happy he moved. We looked at several options in the area, and the decision to choose Creekside was an easy one. As his daughter, the peace of mind knowing he is in a safe, healthy, and welcoming place is priceless. Eating the excellent food with him during Creekside visits is icing on the cake!
