This was my first visit to Nansemond Commons. I was Surprised the facility smelled pleasant! Helpful and friendly maintenence, nursing and other support staff. The rooms are clean and spacious with ample closet space. My Loved One was clean, alert and having breakfast when i arrived. She expressed that most of the food was tasty, however some of her portions arrived cold. The other patients looked content. On the day I visited, a Church was conducting worship service with live music. My Love One is receiving effective physical therapy and seems content with the level of service being received.... The rooms are nice and spacious. Plenty of closet space. The food was tasty. The patients looked happy, they were playing Bingo and having a good time.

The staff are awesome! There are plenty of activities going on and it always clean and fresh.

Getting in touch with staff is horrible! Getting them to return calls is non-existent. Am afraid that my sibling will have to go back there based on their financial means

This is a nice community. Everybody was very pleasant and friendly. The community looked very nice and clean from what I saw. The staff was kind and informative. It was a little to far for us. Also there aren't many activities offered. Overall it was a nice tour, this is a good community with friendly people.
