My overall experience for my mom at Clay Garden is wonderful. Never had any problems with the cleanliness of my mom's room always clean and tidy. Every one there is super friendly with all the residence, you can tell they understand what our elderly family members are going through very reassuring. We never had question the quality of care it's wonderful. There are plenty of fun activities everyone enjoys them. There's no complaints about the food. I've eaten there myself. It's wonderful and what's really special is no matter what time of day it is if the residents get hungry, they always accommodate them. We checked out other places they were so expensive and the other places didn't offer anything any different you can't beat the price the quality, the friendliness and the love for the residence that you get from Clay Gardens... Long waits after 8am-5pm to get someone to answer doorbell, like after dinner 7pm. Normal assisted living seemed fine, but memory care seemed to be taxing to personnel. Very good access to Director Company was fairly easy to work with.

Staff are down to earth and family friendly. Facility is for more of a nursing home or LTC. Not assisted living for independently living. More variety of food is needed. Options for snacks or drinks in between meals as well. Activities for the independent residents - like a responsibility for sense of belonging

I noticed everyone at Clay Gardens communicates very well with the residences even when the residences are having a hard time they know just what to say and do they are very patience. That's what I notice the most. And It's very clean here and there is always some one clean and picking up stuff my moms room is always nice and clean. Moms laundry is always been washed cleaned and put away. You can't get better than that. There's a wonderful dining hall, I can tell they put effort and work into it, because it's catered to each individual person what they can, and cannot eat and if a resident misses a meal or gets hungry in between meals, they always accommodate them no matter what There's a lot of activities and fun things to do. I think it's really cute. When the ladies get their nails polished it makes them feel good to be catered to The outside grounds is always manicured the court yards have pretty flowers and little gardens and all kinds of bird houses, birdfeeders and flags in front of peoples windows. It's really nice. I feel very blessed and very appreciative, that Clay Gardens is affordable within our budget. It works wonderful. I just want to say thank you to all the office managers and staff for a wonderful job well done

We experienced at Clay Gardens Place: Too many managers. Cost based on how many medicines given. Front door is a very bad system - you may wait 10 to 15 minutes before someone finally let's you in.

From the very first moment I walked into Clay Gardens Place I was impressed with the cleanliness of the building inside and out. I was welcomed with beautiful smiles and was made to feel very comfortable. The staff here are in my book A 1 +. They are kind and caring people, even when they are working hard to get their jobs done, if I have had a problem of any kind, personal or maintenance, they come to help. I have shed a few tears since being here, I miss my independence and my family, but the staff have been there for me with a hug or reassurance. They have ALL become my family. I would recommend Clay Gardens Place to anyone needing a new place to live where they actually care for us residents!

January 13, 2023Thanks for the review and feedback, Bunny! We appreciate you taking the time to share with us, and we’re so glad to hear you like your new home. We're honored to have you here. Thank you again! – Team Enlivant
We've had a great experience here so far, I don't have any complaints at all. It's been awesome. My loved one's room is always clean. Housekeeping is done weekly. Laundry is offered and done well. Communication with the family has been awesome. I feel like they don't hesitate to reach out, if needed. They keep me updated very well. The food looks good, good sized portions and good quality. My loved one says she loves it. I actually think the Chef just won a Regional Award from the company, I happened to be there visiting when they announced it. All of the staff is always very helpful and super friendly. The front desk lady greets me by name every time I visit. Overall, I couldn't ask for better, to be honest. I would absolutely recommend them to family and friends.

I am not pleased with this facility and am in the process of trying to find a better place. There's too much turnover in staff and management. Things are not getting done. My loved one has fallen several times and the nursing staff is unaware. He's been having trouble with his bowels and cleaning up after himself. They've already raised the rent 10% and now want to discuss raising my loved one's level of care.

This is a nice community for someone that is more active than what my loved one was. The staff were okay and they are dealing with the problem of under staffing at this time also. The tour was great and they provided me with all the information that I needed for the most part .

I have been a little upset about access to my loved one during Covid. She had her shots a long time ago. However, they're just letting people in now. I wish they had individualized the visiting more and based it on whether or not the resident had the vaccine yet. Not everyone had it, but everyone had the opportunity to do so. I would have liked to have been in there sooner than they let us in. But the staff is very friendly, and they seem to take an active interest in my loved one. I think she gets a lot of attention from all the different disciplines that are there - between nursing, the aides, different therapists. They've taken a multidisciplinary approach to her care in a very positive way. She absolutely loves the food and can't say enough about it. Activities have been a bit curtailed due to Covid, but they try to keep her as busy as possible.

The community was nice, bright, had big hallways, and is was clean. They offered lots of activities. The dining staff tried to accommodate my mom's food requests. The administer was fantastic. The staff tried really hard and went out of the way for my mom. They were good to my mom, too. We chose this community because is was close to our family. My only suggestion to families is to be aware, be an advocate for your loved one, and stay on thing of things for them.

My Mother was at Clay Gardens for about 9 months! We had a very bad experience and have since moved her to a new place. It has much better care and I am not getting urgent phone calls to come and calm her down, or I don’t know how many visits they had to the emergency room - that were unnecessary! The family was worried and it was stressful when the phone rang! The hospital finally had a discussion with them. I think all of her meds are working together now - and not one incident since she moved. Also, she stated a gentleman living there kept “bothering” her and she was always scared there! We didn’t stay to figure out who it was. It was a beautiful apartment! Turnover of their help was constant! For instance- the head nurse left, chefs/cooks have walked out, a Director left, and you never knew until you asked to talk with them. Things don’t end there! Prices went up a couple of times without much of an explanation. Supposedly Corporate changed their point system! It is a pretty place, and very clean! They just need help!

After several at home falls my mother was faced with needing respite care. She entered Clay Gardens & within a few short days had fallen in love with the staff, management & residents. She made the decision to stay & loves it!! The employees & management make her feel so special. As a family member the employees & management have made us feel secure in the knowledge that she is well cared for. It is a comfort to know she is eating well, exercising & is watched over. She is a very social person & loves the family events as well as the different programs they offer. Her outlook on life has changed. She is healthier mentally & physically. We have been working with management on paperwork to get her a survivorship benefit through Veterans Administration. They have went above & beyond to help us with that daunting task. Clay Gardens has truly been a blessing for my mom & us. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of this service. Thanks everyone & keep up the good work!

My mother has been at Clay Gardens for a little over a year. We are all so pleased with staff and her apartment. The facility is always clean and there is a family night every month which is always a great time! The staff has been so wonderful to us, I never have to worry about my mother being alone again.

My mom was a little leery about moving into a care facility but she has adjusted very well. The staff at Clay Gardens are very friendly and caring. They look out for all the residents and make sure their needs are met. My daughter who lives in Zanesville and oversees my mom's general care, feels that mom is getting very good care. Mom says the food is excellent and there is plenty of it! I was very impressed with how clean it was and all the residents I have seen seem very happy to be there.
