I would rate all a five. Very clean with caring attendants, lots of activities and family events. I don't think we could have done any better based on what others we looked at. It started as Fieldstone then changed to Columbia Landing and as of the 1st of this year was sold to Ciel. They immediately raised the monthly rent from [fee removed] to [fee removed] which I thought was somewhat excessive but maybe that's what they can do and still be competitive. Not fair but oh well.

What our family likes the most about the Ciel of Spokane community is the staff. Their staff team is responsive, attentive and congenial. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families

No words to even begin to explain how beautiful this community is and how caring the staff is here. I toured today and felt nothing but kindness from the staff. The residents were clean and dry. There were no smells and it was a nicely kept building. I really liked meeting all the staff from the housekeepers to the caregivers and even a nurse stopped by to greet me. I would place my loved one here. I am not moving them in only because they are not ready for memory care yet, but when they are they are coming here to Columbia Landing.

The main thing they do well is keeping their tenants happy, and do well at keeping them engaged. I could say they could improve their intellectual stimulation programs and focusing on memory skills and brain stimulation. Overall, I am very happy with the community.

We decided on Fieldstone because it was the newest facility and it also had the best design. The halls are wide and the bedroom's open onto them. There are beautiful photographs in the area and a great outdoor space that residents can go to if they wish. A lot of it depends upon how cognitive your loved one is. Everything I have seen has been great. The facility has 2 different wings but both are very open and the bedroom are an adequate size whether it is a shared room, single room, or suite. My mother in law has gone into hospice care and they have guided us and given us advice which I really appreciate. I would absolutely recommend them to other families looking.

This is the best memory care ever! The way the building, bedroom, and bathrooms are designed makes the residents feel at home. The residents have so much to do all the time. There is a secured small area that is between buildings that houses nail salon, hair salon, activities room, theater, and more for the residents to utilize. There is a secure outside area for the residents to use, as well. It is a big open concept, and there are not hallways to make it feel sterile.

July 27, 2022Melody, Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a wonderful review. So much thought and energy were put into the design of our community. It is a must see for those beginning their search for a loved one. We want our residents to feel like they are at home and part of our family. It is a place to make new friends and plenty of room for family and old friends to visit. There are many activities going on throughout the day and time to just sit and have coffee with one or more of their neighbors. The success of our residents is our success, we love them.
Fieldstone is a very nice facility. The staff showed us around and there are 2 sides. One of the sides we were unable to tour because there was a covid outbreak. We appreciated their honesty and the precaution they were taking for us and for their residents.

June 30, 2022Thank you for your understanding. We had 2 residents with COVID who fortunetly were exhibiting only mild symptoms. We follow our state protacal very closley. We do everything in our power to keep our residents safe and healthy.

June 7, 2022Thank you for your kind words. Though we know first impressions are important it's what happens beyond the first encounter that leaves lasting impressions. Your high scores reveal how much we care about our community, our incredible residents, and each other. We are truly a family and thank you for joining us.
This community is very clean, and a great value. I was never there during the meal time but from what I could see the meals were immaculate and always well prepared. They have nice activities and are very pleased with this community.

February 15, 2022Barbara, Thank you for your kind words. Here at Fieldstone our number one commitment is to our incredible residents. From entering the front door, to the bright and cheery Town Square, to our delicious home-made meals, to their individual care, they are our top priority. It is their time to have a joyful and vibrant life and we are here to give them just that.
I had my dad here & at first they were fine. The management changed & all of a sudden staff changed as well. 2021 my dad was still there. Dad would not eat. They started giving him Ensure 3X a day. Then I was told he was pushing, shoving people & hitting the caretakers. The Ensure has high fructose corn syrup which impacted his gout causing joint pain & swelling. They then put him on anti-depressants, so many of them that he was dizzy & fell all the time. The only time I could see and hug him was in the ER. He could no longer walk, talk & had pneumonia as he could no longer swallow properly. Fieldstone would only check on him every 2 hours, so he could have choked & they would not know. I moved him in April and had him put in the hospital to get over the pneumonia. As I moved him he was nodded off over his plate & food was dripping down his face and clothes. He is at another facility where he is treated respect & care. He smiles at everyone including me when I visit him often.

A Place for Mom has scored Ciel of Spokane 8.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
