I would give zero stars if I could. Keep shopping. There are much better places for the same or even less money. The owner only cares about the bottom line...charges as much as she can and provides as little as possible...most meals are fast food. When questioned they become very defensive and immediately start mentioning deposit will be lost if loved one is moved...and that they can't come back...strong arm tactics are the only thing they are good at. They really should be investigated and shut down in my opinion.

Group home - room for 14, have 8 now. Semi-private room in residential setting. Rates start at $2500/mo. Dawn will do assessment on mom to determine level of care needed and additional monthly amount. Talking on phone she estimated $2800/mo total, but could change when she does assessment. Have several Alzheimer's residents now. Would be a good one to go see!!

My Mother (93), with the help of a male friend, signed herself into the facility on Aug. 19 with a $6600 cashiers check. I, her son, found out about this on Aug. 20. My Mother has vascular dementia, which the male friend and I knew about this and were told by her Dr. that she could not make any decisions that would hinder her well-being (medical, financial, etc.). Mother, in an appointment made by her Dr., was tested by a Dr. at Bricken & Assoc. on Aug. 21. I received the results of the test and gave a copy of the letter to the facility. In short, it states Mother would have trouble making complex legal, medical, or financial decisions independently. Also requires assistance with some of her basic daily living skills. Looking for another facility since late Aug., I removed Mother on Sept. 18. I asked if any of the money would be refunded and told no that Mother seemed very capable of signing and understanding the contract on Aug. 19 and me, her son, was not involved in the signing. The charge was: $2200 non-refundable---$2200 for Aug. (13 days)---$2200 for Sept. (18 days). Daily rate was $73.34.

I really do like this home. This was honestly the only one we looked at, but we walked it and felt so at home! The people who run it are really great! The daughter is taking over her mom's business. My loved one is really adjusting well. We like that it is homey here - it doesn't have that "smell". We've had no problems at all with the care. Some of the food, he's not happy with - but overall, we're satisfied.

They seem to go through a lot of employees here. Some only last a few hours. The good, long-time employees should be treated like gold. The meals are not very nutritious - very little in fresh fruits & vegetables. For the price, better meals are definitely possible. There are very limited recreational activities. Mostly the residents watch TV,

Jackie and Dawn are caring individuals and run a very nice home. The place is clean, it has a nice swimming pool on property, plenty of room and cute little dog that warms up to everyoneshe meets! The staff there are watchful and kind. Price is very reasonable. My father in law has other men friends
