My rating is for memory care residence. I might give a higher rating for assisted living for someone who could get in & out of a bathtub. [name removed] was my tour guide. She had a trainee w/ her. I met [name removed], the therapy director, and [name removed], the activity director. All staff were friendly. The facility was clean and residents seemed happy. However, Candlelight Lodge did not meet my husband's needs. To shower, he would have had to step over the side of a tub; a plastic stool was available to place in the tub. The therapy room was small & not very well equipped. The facility is staffed 24/7 by Certified Nurse Assistants and/or Med Techs, but the only nurses on staff are the Director of Nursing, an LPN, and Eva, an RN. A gerontologist or his nurse practitioner comes ever 2 weeks and is on call in between. The garden was lovely but otherwise the facility didn't meet my husband's needs.
