Calvin Court

At the beginning of [date removed], my aunt had the opportunity to move from [removed] to Calvin Court Georgia. The staff helped us with the paperwork, making it simple for her to move in right away. What a blessing that she moved here to be near her daughter and granddaughter.

Please do not leave your parent here. My mom was eaten alive by bedbugs despite never having an issue for the first six months. But once the bugs moved in, it was overwhelming and the treatment with toxic chemicals didn’t help. We quickly relocated her to our home and had a junk remover throw away all of her furniture and many sentimental things. She ended her lease and never went back. And my mom wasn’t the only one affected. Like a game of Whack-a-Mole. Residents told us this type of bug problem was typical for the building and they just dealt with it because they had nowhere else to go. They’d report it, management would have an exterminator come out, the problem would go away for a bit but the bugs would be back. For now, the only weapon of choice is dangerous insecticides being sprayed around an elderly population. We still have photos and videos of the bites left on my mom and the very lively bugs that took over her apartment.

We chose Calvin Court because of the location. The apartment sizes are very ample, it is 11 stories so they do not have balconies. They try to enforce rules which I think is wonderful and we have been very pleased with them. I would recommend to others looking.

Moving completely blind not knowing the area not knowing calvin Court [name removed] who runs Calvin Court represented exactly everything it is I am very happy here and don’t plan on going anywhere. Communication from the office to the residence works really well having laundry close to my apartment with a trash chute helps a lot.

Our loved one enjoyed the activities and she really loved the convenient store they had inside the community. Our overall first impression was a five out of five. She had a studio apartment, and that would also be a five out of five, and we would recommend this community to others.

Perfect location. Lots of activities. Friendly staff and residents. Common areas seem "aged" but everything was clean. Good floor plans. Strong possibility.

Carpets too warned and bldg smells Unfresh. Residents only get carpets changed every 7 yrs. Per mgmt. Dining hall too dark, carpets, curtins, furniture all brown.

Nice facility for the price. Some things are dated, but they are working on renovations within the next year. The people that lived there seemed very happy. However the wait list is 6-8 months for a one bedroom.

Was told by [name removed], the Residential Manager today (3/2/2018), that I had to submit an application just to find out if they had a unit that would meet my mother’s needs. This included credit check, varification of income etc. Imagine going through all of that just to find out if they have a two bedroom available!

Apartments too small and dated. Nice neighborhood/location. Older facility - needs updating. Prefer regular transportation services to grocery, shopping, etc - not just medical. Don't care for high-rise setting.

My dad moved into Calvin Court. He likes the community so it was a good move in for him.

The location is excellent, but it seemed too old for me. My mom lived there from 2005 to 200i. Nothing has changed in appearance or updated. The lobby area and sitting areas on each floor are very outdated and unappealing. More like a nursing home.

This community was okay. We had a nice tour with very knowledgeable staff to guide us. The residents were out and dong things. It is just the location was a lot farther than we wanted to move sister.

Went there today, after talking to you. It seemed more like a nursing home there were residents dressed as a patient would be an nurses aid outside an the lobby. Didn't think this was a good fit for me so Zi hurried an left. Didn't want to see any more. Also there was a section as u came in that looked like a nurses station.

This is a excellent community my mother is doing well since her move here. She really likes it and the has made some new friends with the other residents. There is so much for the residents to do here they offer a lot of activities for them. The staff is wonderful and been helpful and kind to my mother. It is a nice looking facility we did have a little bug problem at first but they did quickly resolve that issue. It has been a good experience and I would recommend this community.

I loved the place, the people are so welcoming. The facility is clean, decor inviting, homely, warm. Units are cozy, accommodating. They have some sort of activity going every day. From the minute I walked in I felt comfortable! See for yourself, you'll love it.

The staff is very helpful. So far my mother in law is having fun going to the events. She likes the food here. The facility is clean. She has a beautiful view. The facility is easy to get to from the highways. My mother in law has been here for about 6-8 weeks and she has really been enjoying herself. We haven't had any problems or concerns. So far, So good. I would recommend the Calvin Court senior facility.

Calvin Court is a lovely,clean and well run facility. It was a pleasure meeting Patrice Kelly and having a tour of Calvin Court with her. She is warm, friendly and knowledgeable. I feel they are an excellent provider for Senior Citizens.

Moved there in 1966 at the age of 62. Lived there for 2 years. Enjoyed my stay there. Staff was very helpful. Moved to Campbell Stone Apts. because it was more convenient for me to shop.
