Because of the cost of meals vs. quality of meals, that brings down value of cost to overall. You have to purchase breakfast whether you eat it or not. I like it better if you choose the two meals you want. Overall I would recommend this community. Especially the people are nice.

My wife and I have now lived here for three months and after two month of unpacking the boxes with the community's help, we are settled in. After retiring we went through a ten year period of the children grown on their own and keeping up with the home maintenance, we needed a change. We are meeting new people which has been a major plus. Our palete is for the exotic food we miss!

I recently moved into Brookdale University Park and have found it to be most welcoming. The staff and residents are extremely friendly. The choices of programs and activities are good. The meal selection is excellent and the food is most delicious. Again I must mention the staff who are very helpful and professional. Overall, I think that I will be very happy living here.

There couldn't be another facility where I would feel as safe and happy as here at Brookdale UP Denver. And super friendly, caring staff, fun activities, all our needs are met.

I have lived at Brookdale University Park since October 2023, when I loved to Denver. I love my apartment with a wide view of the mountains, a separate kitchen with a dishwasher, and a washer and dryer in the bathroom. Friendly residents and staff.

Our apartment and the friendly staff are the best. The soup is great. Housekeeping is good. The food isn't very good (entirely too bland, small portions a lot of the time, odd types of food, the vegetables are way over cooked and there isn't a variety of them, food is often just barely warm. There are very few activities that aren't resident sponsored (and there are very few of those). Overall it's very boring except for the people we get to talk to. There's only one consistent exercise class. I was hoping for a variety of them, also at different times.

The quality of care is a bit delayed sometimes with maintenance but overall its good. The meals are an area needing improvement - old people and young people alike need really healthy foods. When it comes to the activities, they seem really good but I do not live there. Mostly, I'd like to see improvement in food AND let people have access to THREE meals per day. Or at least choose which of the two meals they want: Breakfast should not be a forced meal to have. After all, some people want a slow start and breakfast at home. Many amenities, including entertainment, rides to stores and appointments, exercise rooms and library. The food could use some improvement, but you can make suggestions to staff. Overall, I would highly recommend living here.

Been here 2 years, almost 3 and have been more active in 2 months, than I have been in the past 2 years. I am on the resident advisory council for the Assisted Living. I love it here.

I tore my skin back in an accident and they provided an associate to change dressing daily. I needed to get my spring things out of storage and put away Christmas things. She got all my things out, helped me set them up and put boxes away.

The facility and staff are doing a good job and the monthly appointment price is reasonable. My 1 bedroom apartment is perfect for single person and the amenities right about the same as other senior places I visited. That's all I have to say.

A Place for Mom has scored Brookdale University Park 9.6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
