Brookdale Palm Coast

Short staffed and we use our own private caregivers as a result. They are far better than most places I visited. Wish they had skilled nursing for when that time comes. The lady that chased us hard to get mom in hasn't been heard from since. My mom doesn't do activities so can't comment on that. Food complaints are the typical soft bacon, hard to chew many foods for the seniors. But that's just my mom's experience.

I do not need assistance at this time but I did not want to worry about maintaining my house. My children are adults and live all over the U.S. I made this decision for myself and I am comfortable here.

I have lived here for 2 years and I am very happy with this facility. The food is wonderful and I have made many friends between the residents and the nurses. If I need anything at all they are here to help me.

My mom has done so well here. She was hospitalized last year around this time and she has regained so much strength and confidence. The staff is exceptional and truly goes above and beyond. I would recommend.

We picked this community because of, resources from the hospital helped us and your company was able to quickly provide assistance. The experience has been good. I would recommend to others.

We placed my mother in the care of Brookdale Assisted Living. It was a wonderful experience from move in to move out. Unfortunately, my mothers stay wasn't as long as we had hoped but her care at Brookdale was exceptional.

My mom was living alone and in very bad shape. My brother and I live out of state and after my dad passed my mom did not have anyone helping her or assisting her at home. Brookdale Palm Coast took the time to meet with my mom in her home. They transported her to the facility to take a tour. I was going through a medical procedure myself and could not be there to help move her belongings etc. The staff at Brooksdale helped with everything and got her moved safely. She is doing very well. Would recommend.

I have been a resident here for almost a year now and for the first time in years I have made new friends. I am eating better, feeling better and sleeping better. Talking with others has made me happier. I am thankful to be here.

My mother is happy there. There are a few little things - the activities and memory care aspect aren't as much as I expected. But they are taking good care of her.

Do not go there. The sales man was great. They didn't tell us they are short staffed with only contract workers. The level of care was nothing like what they said we would get. When you first go there you pay a $2000 service fee to make sure everything works in the room. His first day, the call light didn't work. He had to yell and yell to get help to the bathroom. The maintenance came the next day and had to replace the call button. The sales manager said the light was pulled out? After we asked why things were not working clearly, when we just paid that fee. The office manager was not nice. They said the first few days my Dad would have another resident to show him around. This was not the case and he sat alone to eat. One of the other residents went to help push him in his wheelchair and he was dumped to the floor. The staff was supposed to be getting him into his pajamas, that didn't happen. They were supposed to be opening his blinds, etc. The head nurse was phenomenal, absolutely incredible. We ended up removing him due to all of this lack of care, etc. He was supposed to be a diabetic diet and they kept giving him all this sugar like orange juice and saying "it was alright". The outside doctor changed his medicines and never informed my Mom regarding these changes. It wasn't a good experience.

Just moved mom into Brookdale Palm Coast. They are so nice and accommodating. [name removed] the Sales Manager spent hours fixing my moms commode and getting her cable up and going. The maintenance director was out on that day. Very clean and home like.

I'm very happy overall. If there's anything I think they could do more of it would be activities. But I know they're limited in what they can do with the pandemic. I get the impression that the people who work there work a lot of hours, and they could do with more staff. But overall I'm very happy. They've been excellent with communication. They treat both my loved one and myself very well. They're very friendly.

Nothing to compare. Very accomodating, no complaints. One of the better-assisted living.

Everything is going very well here for my husband he is getting taken care very well. During the hurricane, I didn't have to worry they moved the residents to a safer community and things went well. The staff is very good here very nice and helpful they care about the residents. My husband is liking the food he eats well. He does the activities. The community is close to family so we visit often. I would recommend this community

The staff at this community are friendly. The food is excellent and the community is kept clean. They offer daily activities. My only concern is I do not think they were trained to care for my loved one as I do not think they evaluated them correctly. This is an assisted living community not a nursing care community. They do not separate the memory care residents from the rest of the community and we liked this. I would suggest asking a lot of question in regard to the type of care they offer here.
