Brookdale Owasso

The staff at Brookdale Owasso is lovely. However, lots of boiled chicken is served in a variety of ways. The snacks could be more nutritious with higher protein levels. Also, the doctors don't really look for any problems unless clients complain so if clients forget or don't complain needs may be missed. Overall, I would recommend Brookdale Owasso to others.

Everyone on the staff are wonderful! My dad was very pampered. They took excellent care of him during his respite stay. Again, the was very wonderful. Wonderful. Wonderful. Wonderful. Wonderful. Happy.

I really feel like the people there care about the residents. And they have been very friendly and open with me. I am comfortable having Dad there. Another comment I would make is that I really like the size of the community. It is small and everybody working there is familiar with all of the residents and their needs.

We picked this community, because of the size and involvement with the residents.I've come to know the employees at brookdale of Owasso. All are caring and kind to the residents. They contact me if they have concerns about my mother and always answer my calls if I have questions. I have recommended them to others. I would not have found Brookdale had it not been for A Place For Mom. My mom really like it there and lives the workers. Her apartment is the perfect size and the entire place is small enough that she doesn't get lost.

It is a very friendly and helpful community. I would recommend Brookdale Owasso to others. We picked this community, because it was small and the staff knows everyone. It is very close to my house.

The facility is always locked and only staff know the code, but they do answer the doorbell to let you in and keep watch at door to let you out asap. They are very loving to clients but there isn't a lot of privacy because they are often checking on clients. When the Doctor makes rounds, if independent clients don't express their concerns they don't look for problems, but if expressed to staff nurse she will call doctor and help intervene for them.

We are so thankful for Brookdale Owasso, now they are understaffed like everyone else but every time that we call for a request or a question they try their absolute best to accommodate us. Our loved one really enjoys the bingo they have going on twice a week, there is also bean bag toss and jewelry making. We see the other staff members painting the ladies nails which is fun. We would recommend this community to other families if it met their needs - just with staffing this is a good place for those who do not need to much on hand care.

Beyond the base they charge to many extra fees like just for passing along the medication. The staff needs to be more on the same when they are taking care of their clients. They have suggested to our loved one that she can start giving herself her own medication, but she has been a drug abuser. We brought this to the directors attention and they got a hold of the situation.

We chose Brookdale Owasso because of the convenience, we felt like the facility was well organized, and when you walked in it smelled very clean. This facility is also an "aging place", so we will never have to move her. My favorite part about Brookdale so far is the nurse, she is fabulous. She is always very helpful with my mom and she helps us out by talking to the doctors for us, she is engaged with what is going on. They are still doing some activities here such as crafts and bingo and they have had no cases of COVID. I would absolutely recommend it.

This Tour went exceptionally well. Assisted living is an option for us, but currently it follows In Home Care and Respite Care in priority.

The staff is very friendly and they have a lot of activities. They take them places to do stuff and see a lot of things.

My mom has a 1 bdrm apartment with a kitchenette. The staff is very kind, attentive and she is getting good care. The have lots of great amenities. They always engage her to join the daily activities. They will come in and do a deep clean 1x a week but if she needs something in between they accommodate her. She is enjoying 3 good meals a day. They offer a shuttle to go to the grocery store that she may use one day. I would recommend this community to others.

I had looked at this location a couple of years ago as we were still trying to have my love one at home as long as possible. From what I observed the staff team was great. I remember to talking with a few associates and they were awesome. The facility itself is nice and small which I like. From what I remember I don’t recall if they actually have a designated area for residents with memory conditions such as Alzheimer’s or Dementia. However there are residents experiencing those conditions.

I wish you had a library and a mini store. It would really be nice if you had a pool.

I like the care at this community. The staff is nice and very caring. They have activities that are offered to those who can participate with the other residents. This community is recommended for the care and the value that we have seen.

Watched my mother go through so much pain and distress and neglect at sequoyah point. So wish we had known about Brookdale!! Her brother, my uncle has been there a month and the only bad thing I have to say is they totally spoiled him!! Awesome group of people.

Brookdale was very easy to work with as we moved my mother into their home. The Owasso location is a small facility which allows for very personalized care. This is the highest praise I can give...their administration, nurse, aids and all others associated in caring for my mother have been wonderful! They do not just give the impression that they care, they follow through and demonstrate so, time after time. Every life experience and living situation will have pros and cons. For Brookdale, the biggest improvement I suggest is in their menu--perhaps giving options for residents--and in the quality of the preparation...as there are times when taste is quite bland. All concerns have been promptly followed-up...and, again, this demonstrates the real care and compassion of the staff and administration.

The community really makes you feel like you're a part of a family. This is a really great community. They have accommodated us very well. My brother has adjusted very well to the community and they welcomed him with open arms. The community is super clean, that was the first thing I noticed. He loves the food and the activities are great. Everyone here is very friendly and I would recommend this community.

The location of Sterling House is perfect for some of our family since they are close, so it's ideal. As far as staff goes, everyone we've come into contact with has been amazing. They are very friendly, very helpful, if you're concerned about something they are on it quickly and get back with you timely. They're compassionate, and friendly as well. My loved one has been pretty confined without a lot of other interaction, so it is difficult for us to measure some things, but she is getting her medical care, the nurse Shannon is wonderful; the staff tends to her medicine and they seem to be timely and efficient.
