The activities is zero because there have been no activities at this place since my mom has been there [date removed] because there is no activities director. From what I can tell there doesn't seem to be a sense of urgency to find one either. Every time I go to this place I see the same people sitting in the same places doing the same things. I think some sort of daily/weekly activity would help stimulate these people. My mother constantly tells me she is bored. There would be more value assessed if she was getting this service she is already paying a premium for. People are friendly for the most part but the biggest gripe I have is they haven't quite figure out how to bill accurately.... Read more

I have lived here since 2022, and this is my home. There are a lot of staff that have been here since before I came, like [name removed] and [name removed], and some other really great ones like [name removed], and [name removed] I can really count on. [name removed] drives me to dialysis and she is a good one too. I have friends here and we have a lot of fun with [name removed] the activity girl. I would recommend this place to anyone.

It is a nice quiet community with extremely nice employees and wonderful residents. I enjoy sending time in the common areas and in the dining room with fellow residents. The food is very good and the variety is a big positive as well! I’m really glad I made the transition here as I’m more active and I’m much more social!

After being in the facility just a few minutes you get a sense of belonging to a family. The administration and staff are awesome! They are there to help you anyway they can! Also they are always so pleasant and have a smile on their face. As I was carrying stuff in for my dad, they were there with carts at the door ready to help. The evening I moved my dad in, the security lock on the front door kept going off and they were so patient and kind with us during that time and throughout the move in process. My dad has received excellent care and is enjoying his new home a lot. The rooms are very roomy with a nice size bathroom as well. Very easy to get around in. My dad can be a very picky eater however he has not complained about the food and has had nothing but great things to say after his meals! That’s an huge plus! If you’re looking to move a loved one into a facility like this, you definitely need to go tour this one and meet the staff. You will be very pleased!

Our family had an in person tour with Brookdale High Pointe and we thought the tour experience and the community itself and the staff we encountered was really good.
When my mother entered Brookdale High Point in August of 2022, the entire management staff turned over and they were all new: Executive Director, Sales Manager, Billing Coordinator and Maintenance Chief were all new and inexperienced and in addition they were short staffed on the floor. They were long on promises and often short on delivery. Since we left the facility last November, I would hope that much of that has been rectified. In my mother's case, I feel that her initial assessment to determine her level of care was incorrect and resulted in her not getting the care that she needed. The food was fine, as were the activities. If in the same situation that we were faced with a year ago, I would certainly give Brookdale High Point a look and compare them to other facilities-I don't regret our choice.

Response from Brookdale High Point
June 30, 2023We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and are sorry to hear we did not meet all of your expectations. Our staff is committed to providing the highest-quality service and care and we will share your feedback with our management team.
We chose Brookdale High Point because the convenient location and I liked the way it looked, it also did not smell when you walk in. My loved one had just lost her sight and she walked in the first time and said how nice it smelled so that was huge for us. The staff is very helpful, especially [name removed] the admission sales director. She even helped us move stuff in and made the whole process easier for us. [name removed] the health and wellness director has gone above and beyond to help me with my mother and we really appreciate her. I would highly recommend Brookdale High Point.

It was a good tour experience. It cost more, and it seemed more like a nursing home.
We had a terrible experience with Brookdale. I would never recommend this facility to anybody
Response from Brookdale High Point
July 26, 2022We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and are sorry to hear we did not meet your expectations. We would welcome an opportunity to discuss with you further and encourage you to reach out to our local management team.
All of the staff members seem to be pretty nice and all have a pretty good attitude. From what activities our loved one does participate in we do think they do a good job there and overall we would recommend this community to others based on our experience. We know they are struggling with outside circumstances like everyone else but we do think they could work to improve the overall quality of the meals - that is important to the residents and it will help to keep their morale up.

We chose Brookdale High Point because of the value for the money and we just really liked the facility itself and the people that we interacted with during our tour with them. The location is extremely convenient for our family so that has worked out well. I would definitely recommend Brookdale to others looking.

We have nothing but good things to say about all of the Brookdale communities. This was a great tour and we were able to get all of the information that we needed.
This community seemed pretty good but there was another location that was closer to my home and the budget worked better for my loved one. The tours were great and they gave me all the info I needed while at the community.
We toured this community and the tour was very good. They answered all of our questions and were very informative. They were very accommodating and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
The community is a good value for what they offer. Its neat and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would like to see more activities available for the residents. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience

I had hopes when putting her in Brookdale I would be able to come help out since I live so close. There was no visiting inside due to covid and she was starting to forget who we were. She ended up testing positive and called and asked if I could come get her so I got her and ended up keeping her at home. The staff member here were very nice, but it was hard just due to the virus and I think it would have worked out if that wasn't going on.
Read MoreBrookdale High is very reasonably priced, prior to COVID they played games, they have a library. The residents planted flowers, they had arts and crafts. They would have holiday dinners, and holiday activities. They had church services on Sundays. The food at Brookdale is very good, they have certain meals each night, but if they don't like that meal they can ask for something else. The rooms are very well laid out, they have private rooms and semi private rooms. They have a big open area with a dining room.

extremely nice people. When we arrived for our tour, the home van was unloading a group that had been out on a day trip. on a pontoon boat at the lake and a picnic. They were all so happy. [Name removed] answered all our questions and took us on a tour. No way to know what it would be like to live there yet. However, the residents appeared to be happy and content.
