Brookdale Falling Creek

I was able to visit this community while visiting my best friends grandfather. I was so impressed to see the amount of residents out in the common areas and the smiles on their faces. You can tell a lot about a place by just walking through the door (No smell is a BIG deal!). Everyone we walked by smiled and spoke to us. I'm not sure what this place is doing different but I hope they never stop. My best friend's grandfather loves living there and is constantly telling her about the fun things they do there and the places they are going to be going.

Everyone and everything was wonderful at Brookdale Falling Creek. The only reason we moved was that he needed skilled nursing.

It's a family environment and we are completely satisfied with this facility. Our experience with the community is positive. Our mother(in-law) is happy, calm, well-cared for and attended to. She was a challenge and has adjusted very very well. She repeatedly comments on how nice the people (staff) are at Brookdale FC.

Brookdale Falling Creek is a wonderful place. The entire staff has been so friendly, honest and truly care for all the residents. They constantly keep us informed of all that is going on in the facility. The entire staff has an open door policy and can be reached by phone or text no matter what day or time it is. We looked at many facilities and definitely chose the right one for our situation.

I visited Brookdale Falling Creek and loved the feeling that I got when I walked through the door. Couldn't help but notice the smiles on the residents and staff faces. It really gives off a super home-like feel and the apartments are very nice. No smells and very clean.

Everything about Brookdale Falling Creek is top notch and we really like the staff the most, they are very caring. Based on the experience so far we would absolutely recommend this community to other families looking for a community for their loved ones.

We chose Brookdale Falling Creek because of the convenient location and we really liked the staff when we went to tour. I had also heard through moms PT that the staff were extremely friendly here and we have found that to be true. I do not think that they offer some of the activities long enough - for people who don't have dementia or any impairment that can be a downside. The activities director does work hard to make sure residents know that activities are going on, she goes to their door to let them know, but I think they need to provide more activities. The staff and nursing staff have been amazing. My loved one is vegetarian so her options can be very limited but the food choices need to be improved. There is no ice available for the residents so it would be helpful if they could make them available to them. Overall we have been pleased with our experience and would recommend them to others looking.

Best care and facility in Hickory. Happy to have found this gem and was able to get my mother moved in without a hitch. Staff are all very friendly and truly care for my mom and all the other residents.

Brookdale is a good place for my elder loved one. The place is clean when I'm there and does not have a smell in the public areas. The food is good. The staff seem nice & dependable. If a resident depends on family for decision-making, like my loved one, Brookdale is good to call. The only time there was a communication problem was when my loved one caught covid before there was a vaccine and had to spend about a week in the hospital and several more weeks in special rehab before returning to Brookdale. Thankfully they saved her spot. She was initially still charged for extra care she was not getting from Brookdale because she was not in that facility for about a month. But after several emails & phone calls over a few months, Brookdale reimbursed us. As much as covid affected thing, our delayed reimbursement, was the only real hiccup. They did have reasonable visit restrictions before shots were available. Once covid shots were available, the residents all got shots.

What really stood out to us most when we first visited this community was the security it had, and how it was close to our loved ones former home. Our loved one doesn't participate in all of the activities they offer but she really loves the bible studies. Now with COVID we aren't to sure what activities they offer if they are still allowing residents to participate. This community is now allowing porch visits so the residents can visit with their families. Our loved one says the food is a little land and might be overcooked at times, but overall we are very happy with this community and we love it!

I highly recommend this community. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food was fair, and ok. The staff took my loved one to the dining room or gave him his meals in his room. They had arts and crafts, piano playing, and other activities.

This was a lovely place, very warm and welcoming. They have a nice variety of food from their menu for every meal. The residents were active and happy and wear a Mobile Alert button. The rooms were a little small, but each had their own bathroom with a large shower.

We have been pleased with Brookdale Falling Creek. It is clean, quiet, and the staff friendly. Our mother is doing well and seems to be content in her new surroundings.

They do not have memory care so this is not an optio.

Clean community but I think I am looking for a little larger area for my mom and do not like paying extra expenses for so many things that I don't believe she needs at this time.

Smaller, quieter facility. More single rooms, which is my Mom's needs. Have a kitchenette in each room which is desirable.

The family is thrilled with this community. Everything so far has been a very good experience. My mom is doing very well there. She is working on being more social and making friends meeting new people. She seems very pleased with the food. We have had no issues with the staff they are all very nice and attentive. We would recommend this community.
