Brookdale Eagan

I would tell others to not expect too much. Not all experiences were bad, but for the most part it was very disorganized and short staffed. I was there almost every day, so my mom had an advocate. So many people don't have that and I watched how they were treated. Before my mom passed the director left (no great loss) then the sales person left. There was never anybody to reach if there were problems.

My loved one had a very short stay here. If your loved one passes in the community, they charge for an additional week after your loved one passes. This is disturbing to the family as we had all of my loved one's belongings out the same day our loved one passed. The community still charged us for the additional week. They gave me some numbers to call as the community wouldn't agree to refund the money for us for that additional week that we had to pay. I feel this was a bad business decision. The staff were wonderful and caring during the time my loved one was there. My loved one was on hospice care, and they kept me updated on my loved one. They were very kind and caring. They even were concerned about the entire family and our loved one during this difficult time.

Brookdale Eagan is a friendly, light, bright and overall nice place. We believe the food is pretty good, the rooms they provide for the residents are everything you would need, and we would recommend the community to others.

The community is nice clean and bright and has a happy feel to it. The staff is very friendly and Communication was good and they returned call back in a timely manner. I would recommend this community to others

We were not allowed to visit all that much due to covid but the cleanliness of the community was good. When our loved one was there he fell and we were not notified, and we did not think we were ever going to be notified. When we saw the bruise and knot on out loved ones head we brought this to a worked attention and they said they were going to call us on Monday which was two days after he had fallen. So not only we were not initially notified, we felt like we were liked to. Everyone there was friendly, but some of the aids could use more common courtesy.

The rooms and overall layout of the community would be a five out of five.

Brookdale has a wonderful dementia program. The staff is wonderful. The room sizes and layout of the community are great. The food is delicious. They have a secured patio and a courtyard area. It is a fantastic place for my dad.

Mom moved in July 24 2019 from North Dakota. Brookdale answered hours worth of questions assisting with making the move and my family understanding of Minnesota guidelines compared to North Dakota. Mom was welcomed and hugged by all as if they were old friends. The Staff provided the extra support for Mom with the transition to her new home. Everyone is very friendly when I stop to visit. Mom seems to be kept busy during the day which is what she needs. My family liked the layout and size of Brookdale small, cozy, and everything is on one floor. Very pleased with the service of Blue Stone medical team. My family is very pleased to know that Mom will be able to stay at Brookdale til end of life.

I placed my Father in Brookdale in November. The rate went up every month, no rhyme or reason. You pay high fees and don’t get your laundry. I have complained constantly about the fact that the sheets were not changed weekly. Go to eagen point! I have moved my father out after less than 9 months, two ambulance rides to the hospital. I would run far away!

We were here only a month my mom needed to be in the memory care here and when we got in there the price all of a sudden changed. The care here was good here and helped mom. The place stayed clean and tidy. She ate well 3x a day. She would get involved with the daily activities. I would recommend this community on the knowledge of the pricing.

Eagan all I can say it's been life saver and blessing, [Removed] have helped me so much to take a burden off my shoulders. From the first visited there and seen how nice it was and that they were willing to come to my house to meet [Removed] and welcome us and help us get started to move in. Everybody there has been so nice to us, I just love it there and I know [Removed] is get the best care possible [Removed] are Angel's.

It is a joyful, wonderful place for my parents. They treat all the residents with respect and tenderness. Every day is a new adventure for each person living there. I am amazed at the programming available to my parents. Every day they have 4-5 different things they can attend if they want. It never falters...they are so amazing getting people engaged. My parents grieved a bit during the transition and the care team was spectacular caring for them by letting them grieve. Now, my parents are joyful and engaged in the life they have there. We are so very thankful for Brookdale Eagan. Can't praise it enough!

We tried lunch when we visited and we did not like what they served. I did not think the layout of this community would work for my loved one. The person that took us on tour was great. The community looked well taken care of.

I have no complaints of how things had went for us during out tour of this community. The staff made sure to answer any questions we had for them and even offer us a meal to try during our visit. They provided us with great information and where very professional. I liked the open floor plan they had as well as other great amenities they had for the residents. It was just not the location for us in the end decision.

We love the care at this community is wonderful to his care. We like the cleanliness and the atmosphere. The menu is very appealing and he is liking the variety. We like the activities for them to participate with the other residents. We like knowing that they are happy in this community and getting the best care. We would recommend the care and good value for other families.
