Brookdale Eagan

They have a good base, but need to do a better job of managing the residents. If they have a loved one that is calm and content to chill, yes we would recommend them to other families! My loved one was not content with sitting

This place is expensive and doesn't provide all the services they charge for. Pricing is "al-la-cart" meaning they charge for everything. There were many caring staff, but the Health and Wellness Director, [name removed] uses bullying when you have concerns. She routinely threatened to raise the price when we had concerns, and she blamed inappropriate treatment on the victim's dementia. Perhaps she is on commission, but her focus was on extracting as much money from our family as possible. When she began to fight against hospice care and insisted on changing doctor's orders to suit herself, we moved my dying father to a different facility. It was a horrible experience to deal with when you're dealing with a dying family member. I cannot recommend this place. Keep looking.

The Brookdale ,Eagan facility is nice, bright with a refreshing feel. The residents rooms are nice and not crowded and I decorated it to my wife’s taste. They sponsor fun and stimulating activities daily and some of the special events border on amazing. The meals I have seen and/or tasted are better than substantial, the lunch I witnessed today looked top notch. The staff I have dealt with have been patient and caring, they’re always ready to share both good news and challenges about my wife, very open and honest. The residents I have met seem to be happy while I’m visiting. Lots of smiles and they are more than happy to visit about their day, family and some have their pets living with them. I could go on about the stimulation that comes with music, games, quiz games, I’ll mention the Llamas I saw recently. I feel blessed that I found this place for myself and my wife, and that they found me.

This is an awesome facility! I would rate it a 5 in all areas! The staff is especially caring to the residents ( and family) during these difficult times. The administration is very clear and able to follow. Prompt info to residents' family when necessary. All the aides we have had contact with us have been both kind and understanding and helpful.

The facility is very home- like And feels like a family because it has a small group of residents. The staff are Especially pleasant to work with and frequently make an effort to Give personal attention to each resident. They love to tease my husband who is very angry and they know how to work with Him? It is extremely expensive because my husband requires a great deal of care. His room is quite small and very expensive for what he gets.we are basically paying for daily care. If we did not have long-term healthcare insurance, this amount of money would not be possible to continue.

I love it. My mom loves it. She is very happy there and I'm very happy. She's there and they take care of her and the place is very clean.All of my family has already noticed an immediate and visible difference in my mother's health and her mental clarity.

The staff have been communicative and pleasant, but I found them quick to increase price when mom needed temporary assistance due to weakness during COVID infection that she got here. Being a nurse, I insisted on OT and PT to get her strength back and declined a suggested Foley catheter for her incontinence knowing that would put her at risk for infection and limit her mobility. She recovered and I pushed for reassessment to get her fees back down. I am not sure those without family in healthcare would do in this case. That said, I would still recommend the place.

For the most part it was good but I have to deduct for the glasses issue. The common areas were always very clean. There were times when my aunt's room clearly had not been vacuumed for a while. Everyone was great! Very caring, thoughtful, and kind to both my aunt and me. A good variety of activities; everyone was welcomed and included regardless of participation. Value for cost hard to rate. Again, aunt was only there 6 weeks and her needs were high so it was expensive. But to rate... I will go with 4.5.

My loved one is a resident at Brookdale Eagan and everything has been great about her experience at this facility. They have very friendly staff and nurses that care. The housekeeping is great! The friendliness and activities are great. The value for cost is also great. I'm not sure about the quality of the meals. I would highly recommend this facility to family and friends!

Brookdale of Eagan is a dedicated dementia facility which provides a large floor plan for residents to allow them to move around quite a bit. They handled covid in an outstanding manner. They have had a lot of staff turnover, but a few key positions have remained in place.

I have taken multiple tours of Brookdale Eagan and have met many Staff and patients. All of my questions were answered professionally as well as compassionately. The Brookdale Community welcomed me and my Dad with open arms and walked me through everything I needed for my Dad to join the community. I am grateful for how dedicated they were in making this process, which has been a struggle for me, as informed and easy as they could. My Dad will be joining Brookdale Eagan.

Brookdale has been a Godsend for my loved one and our family. She is getting the care, love and support that she needs. The staff and community are wonderful.

I so have hope for my loved one, from the time we walked through the doors for our tour. I have never had such an amazing tour. Kind, knowledgeable, from everyone. I found a home for my loved one.

If your loved one needs memory care , this is the place that you want them to live. The whole facility is dedicated and designed for MEMORY CARE ONLY . The residents are free to move about and explore different parts of the building . There are two internal courtyards and two fenced in courtyards , as well as various themed spaces accessible to residents to discover and putts about . It feels like home , as opposed to simply a room down a long hall. The staff is wonderful , they work with each individuals personalities and are able to tailor the care. They really seem to enjoy their jobs as well as the residents themselves and often share stories about what my Mom has been up to. When she arrived she was 87 pounds and just stayed in her room. Now , a year later, she is 108 lbs and is often taking part of the activities of the day and greets me with a smile ! .

I can't say enough good things about the facility and staff. Great communication, clean and very caring staff. They really care for the residents and it's apparent each visit. I would recommend this facility and it's somewhere I would place my loved one in the future

After 6 months of frustration and concern for my mom’s memory care, we decided it was time to make a change. I reached out to ‘A Place for Mom’ and was put in touch with [name removed]. She was so helpful and compassionate in the process of searching for a better solution. [Name removed] recommended Brookdale Eagan. Not only is it conveniently located for our family to visit, memory care is all they do- so they were 100% equipped and trained to take care of residents with my mom’s needs. After a tour, we were blown away by the beautiful and well-thought out single-floor facility, compassionate and attentive staff, variety of social and therapeutic activities and cutting-edge technology. We are so excited to have my mom in her new home very soon! Truly an answer to prayer and wonderful Christmas gift to our family!

Could not be happier with the care for my mother. All of the employees really showed that they cared for her. The facility was very cozy and safe. She was happy and comfortable at Brookdale and it was a good location .

We chose Brookdale Eagan because it is a smaller facility and not so overwhelming. The care is more personalized. I would recommend this facility to others looking.

My loved one does not like the food. The cleanliness and the communication, needs to improve. The bathroom could use more cleaning. The staff was really nice. We picked this community because, it was the only location that would take my loved one, according to the level of care that was needed. If your loved one, has early stages of dementia them it's a good facility. They have good activities, for those who are still mobile.
