Brookdale Corpus Christi

Brookdale Corpus Christi has made my mom feel at home in an incredibly short time. Mom loves the food, the exercise sessions with fellow residents and the activities provided. They are very pet friendly which is critical since my mom’s small dog is her constant companion. We feel very blessed to have found such a positive organization for our mom.

My Grandmother has always been an independent woman. I am relieved and happy to see her thriving at Brookdale. She has made new friends, enjoys new activities, and shares with me her monthly calendar. She is happy and that makes me both very happy and satisfied that her every need is being met and tended too. Thank all of you at Brookdale for making her feel welcome and at home.

I would like to say my experience visiting Brookdale Corpus Christi is always nice to visit with all the residents, friendly, happy , good food, employees are friendly, always have special functions going on and managers are very courteous. When I'm ready to I would like to like to make my residency there.

I am extremely thankful for the wonderful and caring staff of Brookdale. My Mother's transition from her own home into Brookdale was easier than I thought it would have been; she is really at home. From the maintenance staff to the executives in charge, everyone has treated her with the warmth and respect of a family member. I would definitely recommend Brookdale to anyone looking for a place that truly cares about their residents.

My name is [name removed]. I have been a resident here at Brookdale for several years. My apartment has four rooms which is all furnished with items that make it very homey. I share my residence with a female black and tan pup, who has a very substantial holding pen. She shares a small back porch, postage stamp yard, and a very sturdy fence and gate. She loves to romp in the lovely green grass area adjacent to our apartment. It is gated and fenced which she feels safe to run and play. The asset I enjoy are the folks here at Brookdale. The staff is willing to help me maintain my living quarters dignity, cleanliness as well as wonderful residents. We have outside entertainers and have a “e Out to Dinner” evening once a month. The most enjoyment living here are the many activities available thru our activity director. Brookdale, I consider a place of comfort, secure feeling, many ways to share with one another and perhaps the greatest is the attention.

Having this wonderful residence has been such a comfort. I live out of town, but I know that this is the best place for my mom. I feel that the compassion and care definitely starts at the top with the Director and flows all through the staff. If you are looking for a place for a parent or yourself; be sure to visit Brookdale Corpus Christi.

Facility itself is clean however my mother's unit has been a bit unkempt at times...an accumulation of used & dirty dishes. The staff is friendly and helpful. Care is very good, communication can be difficult at times. I've had little to no interaction with administrator staff. Mom likes most of her meals. I still think that $4860 a month is too much to charge an elderly person. She has spent every bit of her life's savings in this first year. I am now selling her house to which every penny will continue to go towards her care at that facility...she's got about two more years there...then what I don't know what we'll do. Clear understanding about medication distribution. More specifically exactly when medication is to be distributed to residents.

What we like the most about Brookdale Corpus Christ is just the fact that there is always concierge/receptionist no matter what time of the day as well as the meals for the value that family can come and eat with residents.

Our family is grateful that our grandmother receives exceptional care at Brookdale Corpus Christi. Knowing that she is living in a community that is safe and clean with many activities to keep her occupied. The food is amazing in the dining room with a wide variety of choices day to day. All the employees are professionals with big hearts . I would recommend Brookdale Corpus Christi, to anyone who is looking to find their love one a home.

[names removed] are very satisfied and happy at Brookdale. With the exception of the food. It is very mediocre at best. There seem to be a good amount of activities available. I feel sometimes they don't take advantage of all of them, but the people at Brookdale are wonderful and are very kind to my sister-in-law and her husband. Thank you for checking up on us.

My mom lives in Independent Living at Brookdale Corpus Christi and we could not be happier at this community. The staff accommodates her as if she was their mother. She participates and enjoys the activities, meals, outings, and common areas from the community. She feels safe and at home. We feel so comforted knowing she is somewhere she loves and wish we had made the move a long time ago. She receives more attention and amententies than money can really buy. Highly recommend Brookdale Corpus Christi.

My Mother passed away after being at Brookdale for two and a half weeks. She was placed in Hospice care after one week. She was in bed mostly and eating very little. The staff was awesome and so caring.

This staff is exceptional! Some of them -- not sure how many -- serve all 3 facilities on the campus. All are very patient and courteous. If a staff member is unable to take care of a total situation, he or she will contact apropos reinforcement. Housekeeping is great. I do my own, but they still change/wash/return linens and bedding on a weekly basis -- more often, if needed. Handymen (staff) are available to install or repair a variety of things. Lawn and landscaping are maintained. Security is excellent. Brookdale has a homey atmosphere that includes: 1. A lovely big community living room with fireplace, piano, puzzles, card tables, library. 2. Several meeting rooms of various sizes with chairs, tables, a net for chair volleyball that can be converted to serve a variety of special needs. 3. An exercise room. 4. Covered parking for members, plus ample parking for visitors, etc. 5. A big variety of year-round and holiday-related necessities. I've not listed all of the features, but I will close by saying that Brookdale is geared to satisfy most needs common to seniors ranging from folks who are outgoing to those who would rather have their meals delivered to their apartment.

As far as I know, it's a great place. My father chose it for the value, the yards, everything is on one floor.

My loved one is a resident at Brookdale Corpus Christi and overall things have been very good. The cleanliness has improved over the past several months. The staff is always helpful and polite. My loved one says that most of the meals are good. I can't rate the activities as my loved one chooses not to participate in them. Communication with the family is good and the move in process was fine for us. I would recommend Brookdale Corpus Christi to others.

We pick Brookdale Sr Living in Corpus Christi, because when we toured the facility, it was very clean. The people were very helpful and friendly, and the price was a good value for the money.

Excellent service, friendly staff, maintenance extremely helpful, and overall good company. The food quality could be better but it is healthy. As far as activities go I feel there could be more, but they are beginning karaoke and that has been good! I would absolutely recommend Brookdale Corpus Christi to others looking for independent living. It is overall great place and I am happy to be here with my little dog. I am provided with a small fenced backyard. The only independent assisted living place that has that in my area.

I highly recommend this facility to others! The staff is amazingly friendly and patient. The housekeeping, as well as the meals and dining, are excellent. Other services are available-- e.g. transportation to medical appointments, shopping, etc. There's also a wide variety of activities that are offered, but never forced. As a result, we pretty well live like a large family! Those of us who are more ambulatory help those whose activities are more limited. You're free to seek your own comfort zones. I already knew that Brookdale here in Corpus Christi was right because my sister-in-law had lived here for 14 years! Also, my dearest friend here had moved to Brookdale from another local Senior Living place. 'Nuff said! I am so very thankful that my kids talked me into listing my house for sale and moving here to Brookdale Corpus Christi!

The staff are so caring and accommodating, the food is great, the activities are wonderful, she feels like this is home and a part of a community.
