Brookdale Castle Gardens

Friendly atmosphere- front desk person (name removed) very helpful. Aides were very nice to mom. Dining with mom was very nice experience as well as food was great. Laundry person (name removed) was so helpful.

Castle Gardens is a perfect place for my Mom. Her apartment is her home. Every person working there is outstanding. They went above and beyond to help my Mom feel at home. This is a Community and family.

I wish they had more transportation options for seniors who can't drive.It would be much better if podiatrists & other healthcare providers were on site

The staff are very friendly and know each resident and their room numbers. They are positive and upbeat. Mom is in independent living, so there really is no communication from their end to me, but if I have concerns about her, they are very helpful. The move in process was very smooth. Her room was ready and was very clean. The food is very delicious. Mom was a very light eater, not now, she is consuming much more. When they changed ownership, the was no issues at all. It went very smoothly. I highly recommend this place.

We chose Brookdale Castle Gardens because of how friendly, cheerful, and helpful everyone is. Residents are friendly and cheerful, as well. Safety of residents is priority. Nice apartments. Healthcare and physical therapy on premises. Suggestions for improvement on the food- Quality meat cold cuts instead of chopped, compressed meat and by-products. Better quality breads. Chicken breast routinely over cooked and dry. Too many processed foods.

As it is still new and we are getting acclimated to the facility, overall my mom and family feel it is a great fit for her. We know she is safe and well cared for....which is very comforting. The staff is very nice and helpful. Although I may be a bit biased, i would like to see more consistency with the care provided by the aids due to my mom's eye sight and walking and the need for a little more TLC. Nevertheless overall we are very pleased with everything to date.

My days here at Brookdale Castle Gardens have been comfortable, welcoming and enjoyable in that I have the opportunity to meet interesting people. Some want to talk my ears off, but others share their stories without monopolizing the same the whole lunch hour. The staff gets 5 stars for their services. The food is good, prepared tastefully and served attractively. I like the flowers on the plate. All in all, this is my Happy Place for this time in my life.

Very good but not perfect. They didn't know what they could handle. At the end she fell three times before we moved her to a skilled care facility.

We really liked that the facility has both assisted living and memory care in one location.

The aides are kind and compassionate but I feel like they need more training- have had issues with the medication storage and logs for BG numbers. We are happy with the placement and actual apartment as well as location. They have "misplaced" a couple of medications-fortunately they were found, but very stressful for me as one would have been expensive to replace without insurance. My mom is overall happy here!

My loved one is currently a resident at The Hearth at Castle Gardens and overall things have been very good for him at this facility, so far. The staff are all very nice and helpful. The other residents are kind. The facility is clean and looks nice. I would certainly recommend The Hearth at Castle Gardens to family and friends or anyone looking for this type of facility!

A Place For Mom got me in contact with several local assisted living facilities and we immediately loved The Hearth at Castle Gardens. As our Mom was not quite ready to commit to the move for the first year and a half. Both A Place For Mom and The Hearth at Castle Gardens kept in contact with me the entire time, always answering any questions I had. [name removed] at Castle Gardens went above and beyond anything we could have hoped for in assisting in finding the perfect placement for Our Mom, and is truly a huge asset. This place is amazing. It is spotlessly clean the staff are so friendly and accommodating. In a short time we feel like friends. The quality of care she is getting from the nursing staff is great and [name removed] is fantastic about letting us know any concerns or questions she has on Mom. My mother has truly not been this happy since before my Dad passed. She is never in her room because she spends all day at the many activities they have daily. Every time we visit she says "I love it here, I'm really having a good time". And she is eating better than she has since she lost my father. She says the food is really good. The other residents are so friendly to her and she truly feels like part of a community. The Hearth at Castle Gardens is truly the nicest and most affordable (by a few thousand dollars) over the other local places we looked at. I know this review may seem to good to be true but it is our truth and we can't thank all involved enough with helping her and us get to this point

What we like most about The Hearth at Castle Gardens is the staff, they are excellent. Although due to the turnover they have had some issues with the laundry service as well as returning the correct clothes to the proper owners. We would recommend this community to other families looking or a place for their loved ones.

It has been a huge relief knowing that Mom is safe and being monitored. The staff is wonderful with her, and I am shocked at how well she has adapted. Considering the other options we looked at, this is a good one for her and I would recommend it.

All the staff have been friendly and helpful. I have had my questions answered quickly. The staff turnover is a little difficult, but they are handling it quite well.

I have told many people about them. They are friendly, caring, mom said the meals are delicious, they have a good amount of activities to choose from. The place is well cleaned and cozy/homey. It seems like a lot of money, but the peace of mind alone is worth it. She loves that she was able to bring her cat!

The care services are very good. The interaction with the staff has been positive. My loved one loves the food, and enjoys Bingo, and exercises/painting. They also have weekly shopping trips, and outings. Great value for the money. They make people feel welcomed. Overall, they keep me well informed with what's going on with my loved one, and they're very good with keeping the seniors active.

The intake person was extremely responsive. She listened to us and answered all of our questions back and forth via email numerous times since we were long distance. She really seemed to take a personal interest in making sure my brother was situated well. It has been an impressive experience. My brother says the meals are good. He likes having his own space but also being able to mingle when he wants to. They give him the freedom to come and go from his room as he pleases. So he has the best of both worlds - he gets to maintain his privacy, and he also gets to socialize when he feels like it.

The Hearth at Castle Gardens is the best place ever. The people are so friendly. The activities are fantastic. There is a little bit of attention to detail that's lacking for how much we're paying, but they always try their best. And the nurses do a good job. It has been a good experience overall.

The staff are very friendly when I talk to them. There was a time that it took a full month for the community to change the linens for my loved one. The community is very nice. I am very impressed with the daily activities, they will even take the residents for a van ride once a week. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones.
