After moving him to [facility removed]. I get updates on meds, Dr visits. I never received phone calls from Brookdale only if he fell, had to go to hospital and payments. I never received calls on medical results from Drs or a Dr name that was treating him. We paid over 50 thousand to them. After moving him I noticed a big difference in treatment and what was actually being done. I would not recommend Brookdale to anyone. [facility removed] keeps family updated on a regular basis.

October 9, 2024We take your comments seriously and are committed to providing quality care and services to our residents and their families. Our management team has reviewed these concerns and we wish to assure you the safety and well-being of our residents is our top priority.
Ask questions! We discovered charges that were not discussed with us prior to our decision to come. Read contract thoroughly!! We were asked to provide supplies that should have been covered in the fee. I would recommend them with some reservations.

September 17, 2024Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Your feedback will be shared with management.
The staff at this facility are very kind and easy to talk with. They are kind and caring with the residents and show genuine concern for them. With that said, there are ongoing issues with communication regarding simple requests (such as meds in applesauce) and more importantly safety concerns (such as assistance with transfers and use of call system). Residents must have consistent ways to obtain help in a timely manner. Critical thinking must be used to prevent falls and other potential injury. Cleanliness and upkeep of the facility needs attention, with painting, wall and floor care. Things must be done well, not merely checked off as completed. The dining area should be less of a focus after meals, as priority seems to be cleaning that area versus monitoring residents. These such things would make Brookdale Asheboro not simply good for memory care, but great.

My experience with Brookdale Asheboro was great. Sadly, my mother passed away at Brookdale and I couldn't have asked for anything more. They treated her with dignity and respect.

Great place. There is two reasons, why I picked this community: 1. My wife and daughter inspected it and liked what they saw. 2. It's 10 minutes from my daughter's house.

My loved one is currently a resident at Brookdale Asheboro and everything about his experience at this facility has been absolutely great so far. Brookdale Asheboro is very clean. In the beginning, we had a few issues, but the staff quickly resolved them. The friendliness has been great. The care services, meals, activities and value for cost are also great. I would recommend Brookdale Asheboro to others.

My family and loved one had a wonderful experience with the community. The staff are friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. The community has always been clean when we have visited our loved one. There are meals and activities for the residents to participate in and assist with socialization. Overall, this is a community we would recommend to others.

We picked this community, because it was a smaller memory care facility. They have alot of activities to keep residents busy. They interact well. Go to Brookdale Asheboro first.

We toured the facility and left with fake smiles . The marketing director has no clue what she is doing, she is simply selling a room. Marketing director should have to work as cna to understand what the duties are. She called residents by the wrong name when introducing them one corrected her quickly. I will not be putting my loved one here. We believe the staff genuinely cares watching their interactions especially in the memory care unit was wonderful but to sell the facility you have to at least know what’s going on, we were showed a room where the resident was clearly Ill hospice patient marketing director had no respect for the resident or their family members who were in the room

They really promote of sense of community there, we have been overall really pleased with Brookdale. At times the staff does seem rushed to do thing, so they aren't able to give their fullest attention to the residents, however they are great to work with and the evening staff is just wonderful. As far as senior living goes, it is a very good place. Our loved one is really happy with the food there and enjoys getting to know all the other residents. She also really likes her room, it is a very nice size.
Our family had an in person tour and it was a really nice tour experience but the community was just to far away from our loved ones doctors office. The people there were very nice, and they were doing updated to the community while I was there and it looked like everything was going to turn out super nice.
This community is okay not too good not too bad just okay. This is a small town and there are not a lot of options. So with the shortages and everything just like everyone else we are dealing with it also.

The people that I met with were super nice. To me, when I walked in the facility just felt institutional. I did not get the "peace of mind" that I was hoping to feel when walking in. It might be the right fit for someone else, but it was just not the right fit for my mom.

The community is very good and my loved one is doing really good here. The location is very good and overall we are very happy with this community. I would recommend this community to others based on our experience
It seems like they are always confused the communication is not good, They currently do knot have a health and wellness director. My loved one says there are bugs and they are not keeping up with general cleanliness. I would not recommend this community right now.

Nasty Experience! My loved one was left in the same dirty clothes for days. Mom has lost too much weight. She has been falling. Management is never available to answer my calls and will not call me back. Our bill is never correct, and is automatically drafted from my account. My Mom’s care cost doubled in one month with no explanation. We had high expectations by what we were told and the price we are paying. At one time this was a nice place but they have gone down hill, and seems to be understaffed on a regular basis. The last time we were allowed in the building the urine odor was so strong my eyes were burning and I felt sick. Mom complains about the odor every time we talk. She has had ants in her room for months and nothing has been done. We have been extremely disappointed and concerned for her wellbeing. We have made arrangements to relocate her due to the poor conditions. We hate to put her through another move but we can’t let her stay in this filthy place. It has been a nightmare!

Brookdale prior to COVID had groups come in to engage with the residents, they had a brewery come in, a St. Patrick's Day celebration. They take the residents to movies, the zoo. They take regular outings. For those residents who cant get out and about, they provide in house activities. Brookdale provide's a great variety of food, it is very well made. There are different options where they can either eat in their rooms, or in the cafeteria. There are snacks provided 24/7. My brother is in a semi-private suite. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They have a library where the residents can go and sit in. They have outdoor areas, where they can garden. The staff is very dedicated, really engaging with the residents. you can tell they really enjoy what they do.

They left my mother in the library with no staff in building. Neglected to take her to breakfast, laying in bed with soiled depends and sheets. Open meds on med cart left alone. No activities director. No activities provided. Lack of staff. Laundry rarely got done, paid for but had to wash it myself. Mold in the heater filters, cleaned myself. They will say they are working on it, but no improvements. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. There is no excuse for this horribly run facility. I am staying around the clock with her until we move her to another facility Monday morning! They cannot be trusted.---[name removed], daughter of resident [name removed] room 306
