love Brookdale, very nice and so much like home. signed up for the transition program today for mom. she can stay here up to 42 days at a special rate. I only wish mom could afford to live long term here. It's disappointing that they have no assisted living companion rooms so that it may be more affordable. If mom can transition to independent living here in the cottages that would be awesome! Only time will tell! Mean while I must keep searching for a place in assisted living that is in Anderson as nice as Brookdale and that's in our price range. These are important factors!

Everything is going just great for my loved one at Brookdale Anderson! The staff are very nice and the facility is very well maintained. My loved one also gets plenty of opportunities to socialize with other residents and participate in activities. She's very happy there, and we are too!

I toured Brookdale Anderson, but it was independent living, and my father did not qualify for independent living. This community was gorgeous, but it did not fit my father's needs.

My mother was in Brookdale Anderson for Rehab and they took pretty good care of her. They are highly understaffed, but they try to do the best they can. The discharge process was a nightmare, I was dealing with the nurses and I felt like some of the higher up people should have been the ones helping me. Having the nurses be the ones helping me was taking them away from administering medications or helping other patients. Those nurses those work their tails off. My mother did have good care, though.

I really did like Brookdale Anderson. The people were very sweet. I felt it was too big for my Aunt's who both grew up in a small town.

I have not had the best experience with this community. They need to improve their billing system. I had a set rate for my mother when she first moved into this community, but as time as gone one her price keeping raising every month. When I brought this to their attentions, they were not very good at handling the problem. If this continues I will have too consider a new community for my mother.

I placed a 91 year old in the independent living section. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to assist in all requests we have made. The independent living cottages look a little shabby on the outside, but nothing a coat of paint won't fix. The only other criticism I can offer is the lack of a wide variety of activities. The activities tend to be the same thing all the time. A better variety is in order. All in all, this is a great place for your loved ones, that offers everything they need to live independently. When the time comes it is a easy transition to more advanced care.

This community was very clean and well maintained, with lots of great amenities and features. The staff was all very kind and gave my loved one and I a lot of useful information during our visit. I have no complaints and would recommend this place.

The overall experience is good, however the sales staff and the medical staff are not always on the same page. Be careful with your loved one if they need anything more than basic care. The facility is not designed for anything more, and the staff is not trained to handle any more than basic care. Contact the regional nurse in charge of the facility and advise them of medical conditions, and there should be a better advice on whether the facility can care for your loved one.

I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. However, it was also one of the more expensive places we saw. We ended up selecting another community, but this is somewhere I would have considered as an option for my loved one.

Our experience with Brookdale has been a very positive one so far. It's a nice looking place, and we really appreciate how accommodating they were when it came to the pricing and letting us get things set up with them before the lease with his previous community expired.

They did a great job overall at Emeritus at Anderson Place, they took very good care of my loved one. It was a clean, well kept community, and the staff all seemed very friendly and made my loved one feel welcome. I was impressed by their attention to detail in general!

We’ve had some rough patches with the care services. Our loved one doesn’t do a lot of activities, but I wish there could be more. They have an adequate staff. They listen when I have concerns. They follow up when I talk to them about a concern. I’d probably still place my loved if I knew then what I know now. It’s very nice. There isn’t anything bad. They’ve treated my loved one very well.

They do an excellent job here! We were particularly impressed with all the process they go through introducing new people to the community. They really put a lot of effort into making sure that new residents get introduced to people and activities and are able to integrate socially right from the get-go.

We like the set-up of this community a lot, and the staff are very friendly! The apartment we have our loved one in is like a little cottage, and it has a full kitchen. It's an attractive place, but I feel like some of the surfaces could use a fresh coat of paint. The community is all on one level, so there are no stairs involved, but that does mean the community is a bit spread out, and there are outside portions between the buildings. This can make it difficult to get to the dining room, if there is inclement weather, although they are always willing to deliver meals to the rooms.

She was very happy there. It was a little larger than the community she's at now, but she enjoyed it. She liked the activities and the people that were there. She knew a couple other people there from living in Anderson for almost 20 years. We moved her only because I wanted her closer to me in Florida.

I didn't like this as much as Marchbanks, the rooms were small and the common areas were just okay. It was primarily the smaller rooms and that it was more expensive which is why we didn't choose it.

My mother stayed at the Health Center for almost three months after heart by-pass surgery and then moved over to the Summer House for two months until we could move her closer to family. The nursing care was OK, but I tend to think they over medicate. The staff was caring, but she was at the end of the hall and I think did not get that much attention, especially early on when she needed a lot of help. There did not seem to be much staff around on Sundays. The physical and occupational therapy staff were great! They worked patiently with her, really paying attention to her needs. I can't say enough good things about them. When she moved to the Summer House, they continued working with her to give her the skills to live independently again. They kept in touch with me and were always available to discuss her needs. We are very grateful for all they did. When we chose to have my mom stay at the Summer House, the staff was very helpful in arranging that. Since it was a temporary arrangement and we did not want to move her furniture, they furnished the rooms for us. They did a beautiful and thoughtful job. They made the transition very easy for my mother and for my brothers and myself who all live far away. Some of the staff from the Health Center would come to visit her regularly after their shifts which was really nice, they really cared about her and I know that it meant a lot to my mother. The only negative was that my mother came down with a bad cough when she moved in to the Summer House. We thought it was something in the rug or cleaning products. Then my son noticed that the AC filter in the ceiling was filthy and clogged, once that was changed, she improved. But she needed a nebulizer for a few weeks and more medication which would have been unnecessary if they had been on top of maintenance.

I have worked in the past for Adult protective Services and have been in several retirement places in my area. Emeritus @ Anderson Place is planted in the perfect area for my Dad to get to all of his doctor appts.' as well as shopping and banks. He is very pleased with the services and his apt. and so am I.. The staff are very pleasant and willing to help in every way. Thank you for all your help.
