Our loved ones apartment is really cute and has worked out really well - it was cleaned before our loved one moved in which was really nice. We really like the space of the community, its very easy to navigate and we love that our loved one was able to bring her pet. The meals could definitely be improved, our loved one is not a fan of their menu plan .

The staff members all seem super competent and friendly, however due to our loved ones health the food nutrition does not always agree with them and sometimes they complain. We would recommend Brookdale Adrian to other families based on the experience we have had so far.
This facility is really nice. I toured it and was very impressed. Clean atmosphere, friendly staff. The prices were a bit higher comparatively, but it's a great place!
The food has gone downhill quite a bit since they lost their long-time cook. If a family member requires any sort of assistance, it will be on the facility's own timeline. Currently they wake my loved one up at 5 am to assist her with a shower. Climate control is spotty at best. There is no transpiration outside of the facility that accommodates if your loved one is using any sort of motorized device/ powered wheelchair. And that is despite what they promised when we signed up for the place. When I come to them with concerns or questions, usually they deflect and things remain unchanged.

Response from Brookdale Adrian
July 1, 2022We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and are sorry to hear you feel this way. Our staff is committed to providing the highest-quality service and care for each resident and we will share your concerns with our management team for review.
The associates are caring - suitable for the older persons. Though I don't participate in many activities. The Resident Council is a means to address concerns, offer praise. Food preparation, meals nutritious with careful consideration to sodium and sugar. Who can fault weekly housekeeping?! Apartment maintenance when needed. Our Executive Director should be allowed to overrule a corporate protocol when the action here is in the best interests of this community.
This is a beautiful community and the food and the activities are good. The staff are very attentive with the residents. I was able to communicate well with all of the nurses and aids in the community in regards to my loved one. All of this helped create a very positive experience for me and my loved one. The tour was great and they gave me all of the information that I needed and answered all of my questions.

The tour went very well with Brookdale. I just felt the facility was a little more cold and not as personal as I was looking for. Just felt more institutional
I have lived here for almost 4 years in independent and assisted living. The staff is wonderful and very caring. I like the activities especially bingo.

A Place for Mom has scored Brookdale Adrian 9.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
