I personally wouldn't send my loved ones to Bristol Manor of Pleasant Hill.! Residents are not fed properly. The rooms are not cleaned, and laundry is not done. It needs to be turned into State. District managers don't give a flip!
Our family had an in person tour and the tour experience was great but at the time there was no room availability
The biggest problem we have had is there is a lot of turnover of management at Bristol Manor. One will say one thing and then another will say another, so it has been very difficult. She is content where she is at, but when they keep changing the staff they change rules and it makes the residents upset. I have called corporate multiple times about different things and they say they will take care of it and nothing gets done. Since we have been in the pandemic, we have not been able to go in, but I think they need to provide some place that we can visit with our loved ones so they do not feel so isolated. Aside from these issues, I would recommend if you are wanting a family type environment because that is what it has been. I just do not like that management changes so often.

I went to tour this community and it was an okay experience. I was shown around and saw good interaction between the staff and residents. I thought they had quite a bit of residents here. The carpet could have been more clean. Housekeeping could stay on top of it. This was a big community and not the place we needed.

February 17, 2020Thank you for the kind words. Our community is only (12) beds so that we can create a more family oriented environment. Thank you for your suggests. I hope that we can be of help to you if needed in the future. Sincerely,
My mother was at this horrible place a few years ago. She had diabetes, dementia and osteoarthritis. The meals that were served to her were not for diabetic patients. There was never enough food served to keep the elderly full. Mom's bathroom was always in poor shape. I had to go in an clean it myself. I went in to visit her several times at different times each day. I caught the girl several times being mean and yelling at the elderly several times. When I walked in an heard her yelling at my mother that was the end. I took her out to live with me for a while. All services are terrible there. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

February 17, 2020thank you !
There are no activities unless the residents do something on their own. The rules constantly change to benefit the staff. I've asked for a copy of the rules and regulations and have yet to see a copy. The food is terrible. For example, numerous times during the week they serve fish sticks, generic brands of chips, hot dogs, and cold cuts, anything that is cheap. Many times the residents have to leave the facility (if they have transportation) to get something decent to eat. The ones that can't leave have no other choice. Many repairs are needed but there is a two to eight week wait before the maintenance team show up to fix things. Sometimes, the repairs are never made. Staffing seems to be a problem as there is a huge turnover. My loved one will not be staying there much longer!

Response from Bristol Manor of Pleasant Hill
February 17, 2020Thank You for your kind review. It is our privilege to care for the Seniors of Missouri. Sincerely,
The food service needs to be improved at Bristol Manor Of Pleasant Hill. They serve a lot of hot dogs and junk. I know they have a lot more in the budget and I would like to see them spend it on more quality food. Sometimes they don't always empty trash and clean the bathrooms. I know it is because they are short staffed. I would like to see them hire more staff and be more thorough . Mom took a while to adjust but she is getting there. Overall it has been a good experience.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
