The overall experience has been amazing. Our aunt was the first resident at their third home. [name removed] and [name removed] are amazing owners/administrators. They communicate promptly with us on any concerns and go above and beyond to make sure all residents are well cared for. The care home is clean, and everyone is friendly. Our aunt chooses not to participate in activities but sees others enjoying the tv and singing. Care is high quality so worth the cost. We would highly recommend Bright Horizons to other families. They coordinate well with health care providers, home health, and hospice. Peace of mind is worth everything.... Read more

My mom was here for a few months. The facility itself is beautiful. And the owners SEEM very nice. The problems are several: lack of professionalism (one caregiver was sleeping in/ taking a daytime nap (under covers) in my moms bed. When my mom said something, she was victimized by the staff and ignored for saying anything. Meals don't include a good variety of vegetables (cheapest ones are repeatedly served - broccoli, carrots, mashed potatoes). Wake up time was 7am so they could serve breakfast to everyone at the same time - which was sometimes cold by the time it got to each person. Activities-wise - there are NONE. I never saw anyone be taken for a walk. Most time was spent watching TV. There were never any games or light exercise witnessed (and I was there quite a bit). When I asked about games, I was told no one knows how. My question is what about senior memory games, etc). I've seen much better care examples and activities for seniors.

My dad has dementia. While the care facility was clean, I felt like the diminished and if the things are mentioned as concerns. It's hard to navigate the world of dementia and the owners weren't necessarily open to hearing constructive commentary

It's a very nice home (as opposed to a large facility). It's extremely clean. They make sure all of their patients are cleaned up every morning and every night. I don't have any complaints. We just had a change in our family's circumstances that required a move. But I got along great with the staff. They were knowledgeable and caring. It would be a very nice place if you want to keep Mom and Dad together - it was one of the few places I found in the area that had a master suite to accommodate that.

They have been EXCELLENT. The staff really get to know the residents and have come to love my dad. Since it is a smaller care home, the staff to resident ratio is great. The care is un-surpassed and we have been very happy. It is a big plus that the house is gorgeous as well. I have major peace of mind having him in here - everyone really puts in a team effort. I would absolutely recommend Bright Horizons Care Home to others looking.

They have been absolutely fabulous. My loved one was the first resident in their third home. We toured one of their other existing homes and liked it so much we decided to give the new one a try, despite being a little apprehensive not knowing who else was going to be living there. Again, they've just been fabulous. They've worked with us having home health come in and have kept us apprised of everything. We had great difficulty with our primary care doctor not doing written orders for them, and eventually we got a new doctor because of that. But Bright Horizons has been top notch all the way. They were the only board and care community we toured that agreed to change would care bandages between home health visits, which is needed for showers. They more expensive, but we feel it it is totally worth it. We had our loved one at a much less expensive place within a mile of our home that we ended up being so disappointed in. With Bright Horizons, we ended up at the place the farthest away from our home and the most expensive, but it's definitely worth it for the care she receives. The peace of mind it gives me in incredible.

The staff seems helpful and caring. If you can afford it out of pocket it is very nice. The staff and community are responsive. My loved one seems to be happy and she is safe here. The activities are good, and they don't do excursions which is my only drawback. They do transport for an extra fee for appointments.

This is a wonderful loving home with a very comfortable, clean atmosphere. This home is a husband and wife business although I've never seen the wife on any of my visits last year. The staff, for the most part is very loving and caring.

I am extremely pleased. There are only a few caregivers so they are the same people all the time. It's a really nice place, we are very happy with them.

A Place for Mom has scored Bright Horizons Care Home 7.8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
