Brewster Parke

Brewster Parke offers comfortable living with efficiency apartments. They're currently in the process of building new independent living and assisted living buildings that are supposed to be larger and more up-to-date. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. My loved one feels safe there. She says the food is excellent, and she's very happy with activities.

The community is poorly managed and the management is unprofessional and intimidating. Management is not friendly with the family and there is no ownership involved. I would not recommend this community to others.

In regards to Brewster Parke Nursing Home. My 92 year old Grandmother was there for 10 years who suffered with Alzheimer’s. She passed away [date removed] in hospice care at this facility. My mother (her daughter) lives next door and unfortunately I live in Atlanta GA only being able to visit once a year. The amount of gossip, hatred, and unprofessionalism that I have seen from this place over the years has left me speechless. They treated my mother so poorly even as far as to bad mouth her on social media and call her a “crazy [language removed]” to the point where she became so distraught she would only visit her mom my grandmother 1x a week. As of last week we finally said our last goodbyes to my Grandmother and sat by her bedside as she took her last breath. As we did so only 2 people from the whole staff even bothered to approach us and give their hugs or sympathy to the amount of pain our family was experiencing at the time. [Name removed] who is in charge of staff here did nothing but roll her eyes as our family walked past her and didn’t even have the decency or human heart to approach our family to give condolences. 10 years. 10 years my grandmother was in their care and only TWO PEOPLE felt it necessary to say they were sorry for our loss. The rest of the staff stood there as we all walked out of her room with a deep sadness in our hearts. It made me sick to know that after all of these years of my mother calling me in Atlanta to tell me how hard it was to visit my grandmother due to the amount of hate these nurses projected towards her and I did nothing more to help. I can’t wrap my mind around it. My mother has ran into the owners SEVERAL times all without even a nod in her direction to the acknowledgment of my grandmothers condition or death. Which by the way we found out 2 weeks before she died that they HAD BEEN ADMINISTERING DOLAUDID FOR TWO WHOLE YEARS FOR AGGRESSION THAT NO ONE TOLD MY MOTHER ABOUT!! (Jan -2019 · Dilaudid (hydromorphone) is an opioid pain medication. ... Dilaudid is used to treat moderate to severe pain. ... MISUSE OF NARCOTIC PAIN MEDICATION CAN CAUSE ADDICTION, OVERDOSE, OR DEATH, especially in a child or other person using the medicine without a prescription) There was ABSOLUTELY NO REASON FOR HER TO BE ON THIS AT ALL!!!!!!! Needless to say, while grieving the loss of my grandmother we are even more so processing the level of mistreatment from this facility. Not only to my grandmother but to our family. I could write a book on the amount stories that would leave you in shock from this place. If you love your family member or loved one please do not sacrifice your peace or quality of life by marrying yourself to this staff and owners. Although there are a handful of employees there that operate with morals and care, you would be SHOCKED at how many function at way below competent levels. Never have I seen a whole group of adults exude hate the way these ladies do in this profession. Down to the owners. I’m making it my mission over the next year to hold these ladies accountable for their inexcusable behavior not only to my grandmother but to our family. They should seriously be ashamed and I truly can not grasp how they sleep a night treating the people the way they have.

I was not impressed with the building at this community. It is an older building and just did not have the feeling we were looking for. The people we met were nice.

I like this community for the great care and the staff that are very helpful and attentive. The food is very good and a nice variety. We are happy knowing that she likes the activities. We would recommend this clean and nice community to other families for good care and a good value

I'm so glad that Brewster Parke was recommended. I needed a place for my Dad and this couldn't have been a better place. In calling around I found everything to be way out of his price range. I called Brewster Parke and was able to tour it right away. The staff was was very friendly and helpful. They answered all of our questions. My Dad moved in a little over two weeks ago and loves it. We also found that a lot of the services are provided at other places cost extra. It is not expensive and they go a little further in their care. Dad loves it there.

Mom was still settling into the community before she had to go to the hospital. The staff are good and very attentive to her and the family. The food is ok and they offer a good variety. She is not really a joiner so she has not yet participated in any of the activities offered. This is a clean and well cared for community.

Brewster Park has a friendly caring staff. The facility is clean and comfortable. The catered care facility is very welcoming and comfortable. The residents have many activities to participate in throughout the day within the complex and transportation is provided to the different activities. Residents also have 3+ opportunities to go on shopping and /or community activities. My mother belonged to a card club and her friends are able to come to her residence and play cards with her. Brewster Park also has beautician services on site who picks her up for her appointments.

My mom loves it here so far. They have plenty of activities for her. The people are very friendly. The community is a beautiful place. Very Happy with this choice.
