I stopped in yesterday at dinner time to get wish lists for Christmas from the residents, and these are the impressions I got. Most of the residents are mentally delayed/disabled, ages 45-85. It's a small facility of 25, split evenly male-female at the moment. It looks like they all have private rooms, which I thought was fantastic. And the residents clearly had some say in their room's decor. The place was a bit cluttered (space isn't in abundance), but clean. The residents were also clean, content and well-behaved. I dealt with [name removed], who clearly needs to be two people - but that's par for the course in these facilities. It definitely feels like a communal home rather than a formal facility. I personally like that, but I know it's not to everyone's taste. I have an aunt who fits this demographic, but she's not in Colorado...I would feel comfortable placing her here.

I have no idea how this facility recieved a high rating! It was. from the outside, dirty, rundown, unkempt, and in a sad state of disrepair. Windows were boarded up! With the visible picture from the outside, I wouldn't even go inside to look further! No Way No How would I submit my mother to this injustice!

I did drive by the community for a possible tour but it was not as appealing as I had thought. I saw that the apartments had direct access to the streets. I was a little uncomfortable with the idea of having my parent here.

Bookcliff Manor Assisted living was terrible. The person is charge was always too busy. The ramps there are difficult for mom to navigate. I would not recommend this place at all. We were not happy with this facility.

A Place for Mom has scored Bookcliff Manor Assisted Living 7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
