The area of the facility dedicated to providing that care is bright, cheerful and attractive. And it is secure with an interior courtyard that is pleasant. The staff is friendly and compassionate. I would say I am overall pleased.... the building is beautiful and kept clean. The biggest reason I picked this community is because of the admissions director [name removed]her kindness her listening to my mothers situation her interactions with other residents when I went for a tour her continued communication with me her sincere care I knew my mother would be happy there! My mother loves her apartment and is happy to be there that makes a huge difference!

We picked the community, as we had friends who had their loved ones here and we decided to move our loved ones in. We asked about residents rules and if anything will cause the resident to be asked to leave, or if a resident gets too belligerent. The community assured us that they had experience with memory care needs. There were nurses and caregivers on staff to care for the residents. Over the last year, the family arranged there were a lot more caregivers going into my loved one's room. There was only one nurse on staff for the entire community and was hard to identify. The caregivers was always changing for our loved ones, and this caused some confusion. There were no nurses that we could find. The food had gone downhill and became dreadful. It was very hard to get straights answers about how our loved ones were doing by the caregivers and staff. There was a change of service model by the administration or higher up from this level. There was no care like the community promised in the beginning. The administrator was rude to work with, and decided to pass the family off because they didn't want to work with us and the concerns towards the end of my loved one's stay here. We ended up moving our loved ones out of the community after the experience went downhill for us.

Quality of care and med management? Med management needs review. I would tell others looking that I think they need to ask specific questions about personal care and medication management. i.e. they need to look carefully at the cost of medications through the facility's pharmacy and the $[removed]/month fee for using your own pharmacy. Ask about the caregiving staff to client ratio in the area your family member will be residing in. Will they be able to provide the level of care your loved one will require? At what cost? Get specific. What constitutes a raise in the level of care (costing you more per month). Who determines the care level?

We're having such a night and day experience compared to our loved ones last community. All the staff from top to bottom - the directors, office staff, day to day staff, receptionist, kitchen staff and the maintenance team have been phenomenal. They always keep us updated and greet us when we come to visit.

This community was nice and clean but the size just did not work for what I was looking for for my loved one.
We toured Capella of Grand Junction and it was a great facility and they gave a very nice presentation. It was too pricey though for what we were looking for.
I would suggest you make sure the community matches the needs of your loved one. I wasn't aware that there was no nursing care onsite for my loved one. The communication with staff and family was fine.

We recently moved our mother from another facility to Capella's. It's a new facility with a great staff! What we've noticed in the couple of months since she's been here.... is her quality of life has greatly improved and she is more involved with daily events and tasks (with less fees then what she was paying before)! The staff is always engaging her in activities, conversation and encouraging her to be more active. She's not just comfortable, but still finding enjoyment in her life :)

I went on a tour here and it was huge. The staff was nice and helpful and answered all of my questions. It is a brand new building and very clean. I liked the rooms I just feel like it would have been overwhelming for my mom. I recommend families tour many places before making a choice.
