Everybody was so caring there. My dad had struggled so long with his disabilities as he refused any help at all in his old assisted living facility as it unfortunately was not run very well. The care staff at Belmont really tried hard to meet his expectations. He even participated in a few of the activities, which was amazing. It was more expensive than what he had been paying but the old saying you get what you pay for was very evident at Belmont. Food was very good and that made him much happier. It was sad that he passed away so suddenly. So for the short time that he was there, he was pretty comfortable and satisfied.... Read more

January 25, 2024Thank you for this kind review and your recommendation.
For the short time my mother in law was there I found Belmont to clean and staff to be very nice, easy to deal with and very nurturing. The staff and the overall appearance of the citizens. They seemed happy and well cared for. The facility was very well kept and neat.

January 25, 2024Thank you for sharing your experience here and for leaving this kind review. We are glad we were able to make a positive impression on you during your mother’s stay with us in our Belmont Village Hunters Creek community.
My dad was happy at Belmont Village Hunters Creek. Communication with the family was excellent. The staff was so helpful and pleasant to talk to. The housekeeper was very sweet. The move in process was great. [name removed] is fantastic and [name removed] was so thorough and if he said he would take care of something he absolutely did. They were also very good with helping after my dad passed. I would recommend this facility to others.

January 25, 2024We are deeply sorry for your loss. Thank you for taking the time to leave such a kind recommendation and review.
We moved our mother into Belmont Village close to the end of her life. We knew, as did she, that we could not give her the care at home that she was needing at that point. The staff was wonderful and took great care of her and whoever was staying with her. Her stay was short, but Belmont made sure her homegoing was peaceful for all of us.

February 21, 2023Thank you for sharing your mother’s story, and we are deeply sorry for your loss. We are honored to have been able to provide a comfortable place and community for her. We appreciate you leaving this thoughtful review.
During my childhood, my sister who was both smarter than me and loving toward me. She got a PHD, the first female member of the business faculty and vice dean. She began HR in China, & Africa. After mom’s death, we visited her in Maui, shocked to find her lights out, the AC off and her paranoid. It was a very steep fall. Her dementia grew past ind. living, she moved to assisted. Miserable! She moved near my family. OF the 12 I visited, only 2 places in Houston had any notion of proper assisted living. The ‘people’ at BV Hunter’s Creek won me. The problem, at BVHC [name removed] is so into the activities she can’t visit us! The constant ‘Circle of Friends’ activities engage her mind. Her last place posted a schedule, few showed. At BV Hunter’s Creek, my Sales contact, actively got to know my sister, welcomed her with a hug and brought her flowers. The director and head nurse welcomed us. Food is great, the dietitian knew our names day one. After 2 months am certain I made the best choice

July 6, 2023Thank you for sharing your experience and for allowing Belmont Village to be of service to your family. We're so glad to hear your sister is thriving and that you have found peace of mind. We encourage you to always share any feedback you may have with the Executive Director so that we can continue to provide your sister the best care possible.
The only frustration I have had is since our loved one cannot communicate with us I do wish that the staff would reach out to our family more and give some updates. Overall it has been a good experience and I would recommend Belmont Village Hunters Creek to others looking.

I was blown away when we first walked in. The place is beautiful! Absolutely everyone we encountered made eye contact, greeted us and made us feel very welcome. Imagining my dad living there felt natural. They took the time to answer all my questions and showed us around. I was able to see some of the residents, and everyone was cheerful and friendly. I was able to overhear some of the staff interacting with the residents. The staff was friendly, professional, and respectful with everyone. It felt like an everyone knows everyone community, because it seemed like everyone we passed knew we were new there. Everyone took the time to greet both me and my father. There was a contagiously friendly and positive atmosphere from the moment we walked in to the moment we left.

Clean and updated facility, Circle of Friends Program seems like a good fit for my mother, convenient location, facility layout is a smaller footprint with several stories so might be less confusing for my mother to navigate, no outdoor walking paths, several room options but expensive

Very pretty facility, but care is negligent in many ways. Weak leadership, unskilled workers with lack of supervision, definitely a dangerous place for an elder with dementia.

My loved one (father)has been there nearly two years. He is in the memory care/dementia floor and is incontinent. The service has continued to decline. He was left in his wheelchair for 24 hours one day with no reason why other than he said he was not tired. He has a disease. We pay Belmont to card got him and just let him sit in his own urine for 24 hours. When we asked the management staff to call us to discuss this issue, the request was ignored. Just in the past few days, the camera footage in his room caught a PAL holding his weighted blanket (used to help his anxiety) over his face. His forehead was only visible. The same PAL was also seen laying her body on top of him while holding the blanket over his nose and mouth. We have PAID the expense for a PAL, which s an Extra fed there, to check on and toilet my loved one every couple of hours. He goes most days never being changed or taken to the bathroom.

Thus far, we've been pleased with my family's selection of Belmont Village Hunters Creek. Our Mom has been here a little over 1 month now. Our selection of this facility was based on what we felt Mom needed currently. She'd just finished rehab of a broken hip replacement and she needed a little more than just assisted living but she was not at the full memory care need yet. Belmont Village Hunters Creek offers a level of care more than assisted care but less than memory care. Recommend looking at this place if you're in the same boat.

Amazing facility and great staff. Clean, well structured programs and numerous amenities to deflect from that "senior living" feel. Am revisiting with husband on Saturday.

May be it is a good facility for caring and services but I had called several times to reach out the case manager or facility manager in the Woodward area to ask some questions and the staff is replying she is very busy and can't answer to my question. How good it will be for the client?

January 20, 2019We hope you were able to get your questions answered. Our community does get busy during the day as our team is making sure that our residents are taken care of, however our goal is always to be responsive and available. We continuously look for ways to improve and appreciate your feedback.
I have been extremely satisfied with our experience at Hunters Creek over the last 2 1/2 years. The management and staff have shown exceptional care and concern for both of my parents and have worked with me to partner in their care. [Name removed] and [Name removed] provided excellent programming for my mother and others in the neighborhood, always with a smile, and have texted me pictures of both of my parents which always makes me feel good since I don't live in town. their passion for what they do and their genuine love of the residents is infections and so heart-warming. The pals in both the neighborhood and assisted living where my father has lived since March 2017 have also been very caring and worked closely with me to provide for my parents needs and have been my eyes and ears for any concerns. The nursing staff has generally been very attentive, particularly to my mother, and, when my father has needed attention, he's been checked, even though not on medication management. [Name removed] has been outstanding in her attentiveness and responsiveness to our issues and shows tremendous care and love for the residents. When my mother was sent to the hospital her last week of live and then returned to hospice at Belmont, [Name removed] was right there with me to coordinate the process and to handle all of the arrangements. And, though she told me she wasn't available to attend my mother's funeral, when I saw her there, it meant the world to me that she cared that much about my family and me to be there, and I will always remember her kindness. I truly believe that Belmont has created a wonderful environment in which both of my parents have been able to thrive, which has provided tremendous comfort and peace of mind.

August 13, 2018Our staffing is based on licensing requirements and the needs of our residents, meaning that we often staff beyond requirements. Additionally, we have nurses on-site 24/7 to oversee care, though it is not required by our licensing and not offered at all assisted living communities. We encourage you to contact our Executive Director to discuss your specific concerns so that she may work with you to address your needs and resolve quickly.
My dad stayed here for 6 weeks before I took him home. In his first few days, he became very ill. Nothing was done to help him. After about a week, the entire facility was under quarantine. My dad lost 20 pounds during his stay. The nursing staff was not helpful and the aides were not allowed to help with issues. I received a call on a Friday that my dad needed depends, so I drove over in rush hour traffic. When I arrived, my dad was in a fetal position and talking out of his head. His blood pressure was extremely low. When I tried to get help, I was told they could not help. I took him home the next week.

Response from Belmont Village Hunters Creek
June 28, 2018We’re sorry that we did not meet your expectations during your father’s stay with us and we regret that he became ill. Resident care and safety are always our top priority and we do quarantine our building when there are cases of flu or another virus to limit exposure and stop the spread as quickly as possible, per health department and CDC guidelines. Although your father is no longer at our community, your feedback is important in helping us maintain a high operating standard and will be a part of our ongoing evaluation of care. We encourage you to contact the executive director directly with your specific concerns to aid in this process.
I toured here when looking for a place for my mom. The facility is good, but it was expensive and it was more care than she needed. The building itself is very nice, almost like a hotel. I think she would’ve liked the common areas and stuff but the rooms were tiny. It’s more for people that need someone to be with them all the time. Everyone seemed real happy and the cleanliness seemed fine. They kept talking about their dining area and it seemed like a real high end restaurant with an expensive chef, though I didn’t get a chance to try the food.

Belmont Village Hunters Creek really is a Place for Mom - my Mom. My mother's issues with dementia accelerated rapidly in 2016 when my stepfather passed away from Alzheimer's disease. Mom became depressed, angry, mean, and intent on escaping from her memory care location in Des Moines, Iowa. Finally we were told by the Iowa facility that they could no longer care for her unless we hired a 24x7 sitter! So I knew it was time to move her, and I undertook to find a memory care facility here in Houston. I considered 15 different memory care facilities of many different price ranges. The one that stood out from all my research was Belmont Village. While I toured several different facilities, when I toured Belmont Village Hunters Creek, my positive feelings were confirmed. It is beautiful, clean, cheery, and well appointed, and very well staffed. I went back home and asked my sister to immediately drive down from Dallas to verify my decision, and she completely agreed. We moved Mom into a room the Neighborhood floor of BVHC in May, 2016. The BVHC staff was a tremendous help throughout the move. Mom settled in well, and because she's kept busy with activities appropriate to her condition (rather than sitting alone in her room as she did in her Iowa facility), she is now contented, cheerful, and no longer makes attempts to escape. The onsite staff help her with occupational therapy and maintenance therapy, which is so good for her. She has her hair and nails done at the onsite beauty salon on a regular basis. She requires help with all levels of activity, and that help is provided with love and consistency. I could not be happier with BVHC, and wish that everyone with a loved one suffering from dementia could find a place as wonderful as I have. After 18 months, I have only raves and praise for BVHC and how they care for Mom.
