Casual, fun atmosphere vs Formal which is perfect for my mom. Little store/café is sweet. Beautiful but not "stuffy". We loved it right away. I would recommend Bellbrook to others looking.

Our family had an in person tour with Bellbrook and we thought it was a very good experience, the staff were very friendly and overall we thought it was wonderful.
I highly recommend Bellbrook to others for their loved ones. They have a secure memory care unit and it is a smaller number of residents in memory care as well. The staff are accommodating in where the residents eat their meals, whether it is in the dining room or in their room. The community is able to provide medication management, bathing, dressing, and more if the resident needs it or the family requests these care services.

I've had a very good experience. I've heard nothing negative from anybody who lives here. The staff are all very nice. My apartment is pretty, and it's just big enough for me. I did have to downsize, but I have everything that I need. They have a place where I can go for mass, which is important to me. It's expensive, but you get what you pay for.

My father-in-law lived at Bellbrook for three years, two in Independent Living and one year in Assisted Living, plus he had multiple stays in rehab at Bellbrook for physical and occupational therapy. He thoroughly enjoyed dining with his neighbors in the beautiful restaurant, he enjoyed the transportation for outings and shopping trips when he was no longer driving, and he participated in many group activities and church services. The care that he received when he needed it was amazing, the staff treats their residents like family, and all of the residents are happy there. We were so very blessed in having the angels at Bellbrook watching over our family.

The staff and everyone were friendly, this community was also a little closer to my house but it seemed like the room kind of stopped and I wanted to make it seamless. This community also seemed run down, it was a close call for a while but there was another community that worked out better.
Our loved one is in a large double size studio apartment, it is expensive but it is worth it. We are now getting the sufficient communication we needed that was lacking at our loved ones previous community. The staffing is down like at a bunch of other communities, but they do their best and there are staff members there that have been there 20+ years which is reassuring. The doctor is only miles away from the community, which is much better. The doctor and his team give us all the feedback we need to know about our loved one, and they understand our concerns regarding their health.
Great tour, beautiful building, Catholic Mass on Sunday, Rosary twice a week. Priest that lives there. Library, can cook or go down for meals for additional fee. My folks live in the neighborhood already so this would be a good choice.

My father was in memory care for almost a year. He was able to get around with a walker fairly well. Then due to Covid lock down I was unable to visit and take him out on our daily lunches and home visits. I was concerned about his loss of mobility during this time. I didn't want him to lose the use of his legs. My Father would call and request I ask for physical therapy because he felt his legs weren't working as well as they should. When I asked about starting it for him the facility assured me he was doing just fine. Due to the fact I couldn't see for myself I trusted their judgement. I found a group home for my father and had him assessed by the physical therapist and they said he hasn't the ability to even stand on his own now. I am so saddened that he is wheel chair bound due to the neglect of this facility. For the amount of money spent every month and the fact that physical therapy was covered by insurance should of guaranteed they were making the best choices for my father.
My dad stayed in Bellbrook for 4 days and is now in the hospital fighting for his life! This is a horrible rehab facility and I would never let anyone you love stay there! They are not capable of taking care of someone in their best interest!!! They should be closed down!!!!!

Response from Bellbrook
September 27, 2018We apologize for not seeing this comment earlier. Please contact our Administrator, Libby Delaney ([removed]) to discuss your father's experience at Bellbrook and let us know how he is doing. It is very important to us to always provide quality and compassionate care.
We were in the independent apartments. He got his food and his meds and took him to the doctor. They had a home care service that was great to help with meds and any assistance he may have needed.

A Place for Mom has scored Bellbrook 8.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
