My parents are my world and my worst nightmare happened and my Mom fell. She dislocated one arm and broke the other. We chose this place and I will say I was worried. Will they treat her right, will she fall again, will she get any infections, will they do physical therapy? I was so worried. I will tell you they were professional, it was a clean facility, they were attentive to her needs and I was extremely satisfied with the care and treatment she was given. I forgot to mention the size of the rooms were fairly large, even though you had to share rooms. Because of the size, you still had your own privacy and plenty of space. My mom was able to control her thermostat in her room adjusting the temperature to her liking. Glad to say she was not too cold or too hot. The exercises they did with her working her core really helped and gave her the confidence and strength she needed. If anything ever happens to me, my family knows that is where I would want to go. We came here for Rehab.... Read more

My dad is in this place with stage 4 cancer... they have an ankle bracelet on him like he is a prisoner. They also have a pass code that needs to be entered to use the elevator in order to leave the building, and of course he does not know this code... Yet he has an monitor on his ankle. My father is not delusional and has never tried to leave the facility on his own. and is respondent. there is no need for this to be done to him. They will not allow him to go out for fresh air at all. Staff will not take him out either. This is cruelty to the elderly!

It's a large rehab community. I think they gave an incorrect diagnosis to the assisted living community we went to, saying it would be a good fit when it wasn't. I don't think this was a great experience. I just don't have enough experience to know what went wrong exactly. I would double check and get a second opinion before you move your loved one out.

I did not like the care my loved one received at this facility. It seemed like they just left the residents sitting in wheelchairs all day, I never saw any attempt at activities or engaging with them at all. The facility itself never seemed very clean, and the response time to the buzzers was very poor. I would not recommend this facility.

Director was a very lovely woman. therapy is only a 45 minute, once a day thing, then they are free to watch T.V. or anything else that they want, aside from eating times, that are really not supervised to take extensive time Also, she informed me that the facility only has a 30-45 day stay maximum.

A Place for Mom has scored Bella Terra of La Grange 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
