They seem to be very in tune with each resident. Very cognizant of each resident's individual needs. It is a very warm feeling community and we would recommend Bell Oaks Place to other families who may need a place for their loved ones

Facility/staff are easy to work with. However, not always forthcoming with me regarding her medical issues so always seemed like I get information after the fact. They could make their food more restaurant style, such as cook on order. Seems like food was always made beforehand and warmed. More fresh fruit and options for soups and salads.

The charge nurse was very helpful and caring. [name removed] the activity coordinator was very nice and visited mom a lot. We were promised things that never came to fruition. Mom loved the music entertainment, but couldn't participate in much as she was blind.

We were not happy with the overall nursing care; our relative had hospice to oversee her overall care otherwise it was not good. Food was inconsistent and had no flavor. I would not recommend them to others.

Some of the folks that work there are absolutely wonderful. The food is god-awful. I've seen it and I certainly wouldn't eat it. They do a terrible job of cleaning her room. [name removed]is the Activities Director and she is always working to get people involved and really works her hiney off. They otherwise are suffering, like so many other places, at funding and retaining qualified staff. Based off of the experience, I would still recommend them to others.

Mom was only there 3 weeks and she fell 3 times, went to the hospital twice, then to a nursing home for 9 days before passing. They did not have the staff to sufficiently care for her. Also they made her pay 3 weeks ahead and for another month after she left. I would not recommend them.

The staff at Bell Oaks Place is fantastic! They are always very helpful and supportive. The housekeeping is good, although my mom has commented that dusting isn't done enough. The move in process was great, we had no problems and the staff was very welcoming and helpful to get my mom settled in. As far as the food, my mom comments that some selections are not to her liking and that there isn't something offered daily that she can eat easily. I think that the menu should be available to the family to assist in selections. Also, perhaps more 'home-cooked' type of meals could be offered. Overall, I would highly recommend Bell Oaks Place to others. It's a small facility, the activities are great and keep residents engaged and active and the staff is very helpful and kind.

This really isn't skilled care no matter what the facility boasts. They do not have enough aids to help with transfers and bathing. They need to move the elevator from in front of the stairs. Dangerous! My loved one fell into the elevator from her wheelchair wheels getting caught in the gap since no one was helping her to the dining room. If she has fallen out of the elevator on the 2nd floor, she could have fallen down the stairs.

Bell Oaks is a very nice facility; my mom has been happier there than any of the other places she has lived. The staff is always very sweet and helpful and they take really good care of my mom. The only thing she really complains about is the food, but I am hoping the kinks will be worked out with that soon.

The staff is very welcoming to our family member as well as our entire family. The care is acceptable. We like that it's a smaller facility, which was very important to us. Our family member would just prefer that the food be more flavorful.

My Mom was supposed to move in two weeks ago and was even shown the apartment she would get. All she needed was a letter from her Doctor to get approved The head nurse had someone call and tell us the Dr said he didn't think .my mom should live there due a medical issue. This sent my mom into a downward spiral. No place to live and she is 81 years old. We found out the head nurse and probably others lied about the letter and her Dr DID approve her to live there. She should be fired for lying about a Dr. Letter they received and hurting my mom so much. So, if you love your parent, do not let them live in a place where someone like this takes care of them. I'm so disappointed I'm their actions. Seems like a nice place if they get her out of their. My Mom found a much nicer place to live so she will be treated like the amazing person she is.

Overall the staff was very helpful and friendly. My mother received many different services through Bell Oaks, and I felt like they attended to her very well. Sometimes the facility could have used a little more attention. But I'm aware that there are many staffing problems in the industry across the board.

Bell Oaks Place is extremely nice and we loved the staff, [name removed] still keeps in contact with us. They have a nurse on staff to oversee everything and train the every day staff which I really liked. The only downfall was the residents still have to wear masks and I knew my mom would not have liked that.

My loved one enjoys bingo amongst other activities, like Sunday service. I would recommend it to anyone that needs assisted living to stay. They keep it very clean. I am happy with it. My brother hasn't complained about it. We picked this place as it was the closest one to us.

I was very pleased with our tour of Bell Oaks Place. It is a very nice facility and we really liked the people we met. We decided to keep mom home with us, but if we get serious about looking again we will definitely be checking them out.
It's all been fairly positive. We do have some concerns and hopefully those are being addressed - just little things with the cleaning staff, and they have a different chef. I think those things are being addressed. Overall the staff I've met are really nice. If there's an issue, they try to address it. We haven't had any problems with my loved one being ill. I think they're doing the best that they can, although I think they're understaffed. I think that's common to senior care in general to keep costs down. My understanding is there are two people in the building overnight, which isn't a lot. Activities are starting back up again as Covid restrictions let up. They have an exercise group that goes on walks and they all talk afterward, Face Time, trivia questions on different time periods, crafts, devotional time. So there's lots of opportunities to get together.

I suggested Bell Oaks Place for my 89 year old close friend. She moved in after seeing the accommodations and learning about the rates which were lower than most but came with so much value. [Name removed] and her family love it there and want to recommend it to everyone!

Nice living spaces with variety of activities. However, Medicaid options were not available and there was a strange odor in the building due to lawn work outside.

A Place for Mom has scored Bell Oaks Place 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
