Azura Assisted Living and Memory Care of Brookfield

While no place is perfect, the people were very nice, they seemed to have genuine interest in helping my mom and showed compassion. While the main areas were clean, I wasn't impressed with the level of cleanliness of my mom's room, especially her bathroom. The staff was really nice and caring. I wasn't impressed with the food although my mom never complained about it. I feel Azura was a good fit for my mom and I believe she was happy living there. I also felt that my mom was safe and well cared for. I just want to add, Azura was a great place for my mom!! When my mom went under hospice care the end of April/first of May, Azura provided that increased level of care for an entire month before increasing her monthly costs. They provided compassionate care both physically and financially. I'm so glad I moved my mom to Azura.

Some staff are friendly and acknowledge visitors. Others, act like visitors don't exist. Makes you wonder how they treat the residents. Our mom transferred from another Azura location, as Brookfield did not have an opening when we needed it. I understand that each facility is it's own entity, but mom's information didn't get shared. Not until we noticed certain things did it become apparent that information was not shared, but that no one from Brookfield asked.. Mom likes the food. I've noticed that mom has "attended" activities that she was not there for, as she was out visiting family or at Drs appt. Not sure how attendance is being taken. No one is taking photos of her participation. At the other location, there were some photos that were taken of some of the activities, and that was nice to see. We are a little disappointed on this as we were so excited to have found this place. First impression was great; reality needs improvement.

[name removed], the nurse is always very responsive to our questions. As far as food goes, they need to serve it warm to begin with. By the time it makes its way to Wirth House it's warm at best and often cold. Chicken quesadillas should probably contain more than just chicken...perhaps a little cheese and some salsa on the side??

My mom moved in when they first opened. We chose Brookfield Azura for it's home feel, accessible layout and close proximity to family. At times there have been normal challenges keeping it staffed, but my mom loves knowing the other residents (and families) and especially enjoying a bench on the front porch. It's truly a home!

Overall quite satisfied with care, except our loved one's room could be cleaned better.

Azura is a great place, they surpass other assisted living with their cleanliness, friendly staff, activities, dining, and care. They provide all-around comfort and I am more than satisfied with my experience at Azura.

You will not feel confident in your loved ones' care. The staff is incompetent. You will receive lackluster care and get only a portion of the services you were promised, at full price. It's truly scary - especially for those who need a lot of help. There really should be stronger regulations in place for elderly care.

1. Experience - 4 2. Cleanliness - 4...mom moved in on short notice, so their were some things that needed to be addressed, however upon relaying the information to Azura, they were handled timely 3. Friendliness- 4...most everyone is very friendly. [name removed] and name removed] have been great to work with 4. Quality of Care - 4...very good, however, occasionally in the beginning meds were being received too late in the morning. 5. Food - 2...food is not great. It is generally Luke warm to cool when served, and taste of most entrees is not great. Unable to get teabags, so we had to supply mother with her own. 6. Activities - 5...activities are great. Something for everyone. Mom enjoyed their outing to the movie theater and is now enjoying watching the Brewers on the big TV. 7. Value - 4...overall we are quite satisfied with Azura, although assisted living is very expensive, we believe Azura is living up to our expectations as far as services/care provided for the money.

We toured Azura Brookfield and it was impressive. Great staff and the amenities felt homely! We really enjoyed the activity schedule, and the homes were very clean and spacious. All of the residents seemed to be in high spirits!

I visited this facility when it first opened and was amazed at how far care homes have come! Everyone was so friendly and it felt like living at an upscale hotel. The residents seemed as engaged as they wanted to be and I observed the caretakers interacting like family! The decor was reminiscent of things that would make it feel like home for this age group too. Very impressive!

Our family recently moved my mother into the memory care home at Azura Brookfield. We have been so happy with how quickly she has acclimated to her new home and surroundings. The entire staff is very organized and welcoming and caring. Everyone from the president, medical staff, maintenance is so helpful and responsive to her needs. She is participating in baking and exercise classes, and seems comfortable going to the main living room for evening group activity. She says the food is wonderful! Thank you to everyone at Azura for helping our mom!

I was introduced to Azura Brookfield by a friend when my mom needed additional care and support. The facility was immaculate and the staff were really friendly. We’re so happy that we chose Azura, which was a great fit for my mom.

I would recommend Azura Brookfield to anyone looking for quality care for a loved one. My mom lived at Azura Memory Care in Brookfield and she received excellent care there. I feel the caregivers truly cared for the well being of my mom and were very kind to her and us as family. Even during a pandemic, where we visited through a window, or in a room 6' apart, I got to know the staff and they were always kind and attentive to my moms need's. My mom had daily behavioral sun-downing and the caregivers handled this very well with efforts of comforting and redirecting her in a kind manner. I often worked directly with Justine at Azura. Justine's opinion, knowledge, and kindness in making us as a family aware of what my mom needed in each step of my moms journey was priceless. Often giving us news that was difficult to hear, but needed to be said. Please consider Azura in Brookfield when looking for care for a loved one. Jennifer

I visited this facility after watching it be built from the ground up and am so impressed with the beautiful welcoming physical building-warm colors, decor, and era collections on the walls that would resonate with residents. My interactions with staff were especially impressive. They seemed to be both professional and caring toward the residents, making them feel at home. I observed several seasonal activities going on as well as support for families who had someone in the last stages of life. I would not hesitate to refer anyone to check out Azura of Brookfield!

My mom has been at Azurá Brookfield for a year now. I would recommend Azura Brookfield to anyone. I looked at several facilities prior to taking my mom here. It is a beautiful and clean facility. I visit my mother every day and I’ve come to know the staff quite well and they are wonderful and amazing people who show so much kindness and love for my mother. I can see my mom has grown to love all the staff there and feels happy, safe and at home at Azurá.

I attended a dementia simulation tour that Azura held at their Brookfield location and was extremely impressed. Not only was the simulation very thoughtful and educational, but the facility is immaculate which is common within the Azura homes. Top notch amenities and staff, and the care and pride they take in caring for their residents is apparent.

I am so happy I found Azura and was able to place my mom here! My mom is a very active person and Azura makes sure to plan lots of activities for all the residents. I'd love to see even more outings, as I think that really helps elevate spirits for all. Recently, they fulfilled my mom's wish to play tennis again through their MOSAIC Dreams program, and the day and outing were fabulous - heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make that a reality! (Now she wants to go golfing - any takers?) My only wish for all residential care facilities would be a more stable staffing situation, but these are the times we live in and everyone is doing the best they can. Thank you Azura - my mom now considers you "home".
