Yes, I would recommend this community to other families. I love where I'm living! It's a beautiful place and I have had so many wonderful experiences here and have enjoyed meeting so many new friends here that I already feel blessed to know. All in all, it is much better than where my sister is living. And, instead of having only one room and a bath, Aviva offers one and two bedrooms with a kitchen and living room. And the bathroom is roomy with a large closet. Three meals a day are also furnished with a choice of getting a different meal if we don't like the first meal that is offered!... Read more

My loved one was not here long, due to a few issues, but from what we saw during her short stay they do a good job with the care overall. The staff are friendly, they keep the place clean, and the care they provide is good. The issue we had was that we did not know that the memory care patients were mixed in with the assisted living residents, and having residents with such severe care needs in close proximity was just too big a shock for a woman who had been living in her own home for so long. We also had an issue where although she gave a month notice when she decided to move out, they claimed she did not and tried to charge her for an extra month. It took 4 months of fighting it, even with the some of the staff arguing on our side, to get that charge refunded.

We looked at this place. I thought it just looked a little big dark. It wasn't inviting.

A Place for Mom has scored Aviva Granbury 9.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
