Atria Briarcliff Manor

The staff are kind and caring and very attentive. Areas for improvement on the food and activities - Fewer sauces, more variety in spicing. More cultural activities - maybe lectures with slideshows

Overall it has been a positive experience. I know the staff there have a tough job to do. I do know the men wish there was more " structured activities ". (However, they may just forget).

It is a well run facility with a fabulous staff. The care and services are delivered with great attention to detail and the needs of the residents. I would recommend it. But be aware that the costs can easily ramp up quickly if additional care or service is needed.

Atria has a lovely facility that is not too large, which is what we were looking for for mom. From the dining servers to the recreational specialist and everyone in between, the staff know the residents and make them feel welcome and loved. Family are welcome at any time which is great. Apartments are repainted before move in and the on site super is attentive should any needs arise. The facility includes outdoor space for relaxing and is situated within a lovely town park. If you are looking for an assisted living facility for a loved one, you should definitely schedule a visit to Atria in Briarcliff manor.

My father joined Atria Briarcliff in December, and he has thrived there. The facility is terrific for elders who are slowing down physically or mentally yet can still benefit from interaction with their peers and structured activities. It's a small place with a lot of personal attention, and good medical oversight. My family is deeply happy to know my father is having fun, safe, and eating too much bacon. Highly recommended.

Since mom has been at Atria in Briarcliff Manor she is thriving and happy. Mom is 96 and lives in the memory care unit. I know she is well cared for and I can sleep at night knowing she's not only safe but her needs are being met in a timely fashion. The staff are both loving and attentive. I visit often and always find her appropriately dressed, clean and unafraid to speak her truth which is so important for her well being. My loved one was previously a resident at Atria Briarcliff Manor and her experience at this facility was great. This facility is excellent! The move in process was easy. Everyone at this facility was professional. The cleanliness and friendliness were great. The staff, care services, activities and meals were also great. I would recommend Atria Briarcliff Manor to family and friends.

Mom picked it. She was very familiar with Atria Briarcliff (and some of the others) and it's where she wanted to go. The facility is very nice, not new but well maintained and comfortable. The staff is the "ace in the hole" for Atria Briarcliff. Mom loves them! They are friendly, helpful, and kind. The services are excellent, but expensive. There are plenty of activities if she wants to participate. And she feels the meal menu could use more variety.

We have heard the meals that are prepared there are horrible. However the Atria Briarcliff Manor community was clean, welcoming and peaceful. We would recommend this community to other families looking for a community for their loved one.

All in all we are having a positive experience with Atria. There's been a learning curve for first time using assisted living. My mothers situation with early dementia makes it a little more difficult because lack of information or follow up could be her memory. She's very happy.

Very expensive. Facility and apartments are nice and clean. Staff very nice. Meals are adequate. Not enough in the way of activities, bingo and some movies. Exercise classes and other classes are just videos not classes. No exercise facilities. Not enough on-site care.

My mother transferred to this Atria from another Atria to be closer to me and my family before the pandemic. After living at Atria Briarcliff Manor for 2 years we can truly say it is an exceptional community. From the minute you walk in the door you are get the feeling of community and home. All the staff from the directors, to dining room staff, to care staff, housekeeping staff, and maintenance staff are truly caring, loving and supportive. The pandemic has been a challenge for all be knowing my mother was in a safe place that went beyond the state requirements with masking, testing and infectious control protocols, really made it clear that it is more than a senior apartment building. And they have sooo much fun! Seeing all the great engaging activities and parties on their Facebook page gives me peace of mind that she is happy, even if we can't be around. My loved one is very happy here and we are happy also. The only thing I am upset about is my loved one was supposed to be weighed daily per the doctors orders after hospitalization and that did not happen. I have also communicated that I want to be informed whenever the doctor sees my loved one and the results of the visit and I have never gotten that. I have suggested my loved one is supposed to have a reduced sodium diet and that is not always followed, but my loved one does love the food. The activities seem to be increasing and they do encourage them to participate. The staff members and the residents here are all very friendly. Overall my loved one loves it here and we would recommend, but just make sure things are followed through on.

This community has exceeded our expectations and the value is excellent. We believe they are just starting to bring back the activities, and from what we have heard of them they seem to be good. The staff really stood out to us in the beginning, from the executive director, to the woman who helped us choose the apartment and move our loved one in. The nurses are terrific, the aids are very friendly and the people at the front desk are astonishingly helpful, kind and patient.

I really like Atria Briarcliff. I believe since it’s smaller than Atria On The Hudson it would be a better fit for my mom. I am still deciding because Atria Briarcliff is higher priced and I need to take that into consideration.

We chose Atria Briarcliff Manor because it felt like a family environment, It is not too small, and not too big. It felt like it was a well rounded community. My cousin has one of the larger 1 bedrooms and it is a nice size. The food has a good variety and is high quality. They have done a very good job of trying to handle the corona virus. I would recommend this community.
