The pet-friendly community has single-level, one-bedroom apartments with four floor plan options to choose from. The community provides home-cooked meals Monday through Saturday in the church dining hall, but residents can also delight in preparing meals in the charming kitchenettes included in each apartment. All apartments come with a private bathroom, and an on-site laundry facility is available for convenience.
Common areas are available in which to gather and socialize, but Cedar Rapids has plenty to offer for residents to go out and enjoy. Jones Memorial Park is less than two miles away and is an excellent place for active residents to enjoy, with a pool, a golf course, and walking paths. My mother was a patient at Forrest General. The doctor didn't see much hope in getting her better and basically said her only solution was Hospice. They didn't expect her to last much longer, they just didn't know how much longer. They had someone from Asbury House come and speak to us and the lady basically said they couldn't accept her because she wasn't bad enough and we had to end up going to a Hospice facility on the coast which was an hour and a half. My mother was speaking before the trip, but the trip took so much out of her, she never woke back up and was gone within 2 days. I believe if she would have been allowed to stay in Hattiesburg, I would have gotten a little more time with her. The staff there may be nice, but the lady that "makes the decisions" has her own opinion on if she wants the patient there or not.
The facility was good, the food was very good and they offered a good variety. The rooms were average size and were enough for him. It's a small facility and he received more attention. I would recommend this community to others.

They have gone through several cooks since I moved into this independent community. They do offer one meal a day. They do not have scheduled activities but they do have people come in on a volunteer basis to conduct exercise classes and they play nickel bingo on saturday night. The manager is not very responsive but she has been improving.
