Arden Courts A ProMedica Memory Care Community in Whippany

We have had a good experience having my father there for over a year. They are kind and caring. We feel that he is well taken care of and is in good hands.

I have seen a change in the facility in the past year. It seems understaffed with high turnover. The residents seem more dirty and there is often an odor of dirty diapers when I visit. They’re left alone by themselves when they are fall risks and the ones that are low functioning are left alone sitting in chairs, all day it seems, with no stimulation or quality of life. The food quality has really suffered as well and they get a few graham crackers for a snack. I was also visiting and the executive Director was fighting/yelling with the nurse [name removed] very unprofessional. My advice would be to seek another place and take a look at the people that live there currently do they look healthy? Are they underweight? Do they look like they fall down a lot and have bruising on their arms and faces? I think they’re trying very hard to post fake positive reviews here and on Google so I wanted to tell the truth about what I’ve seen there.

The friendly atmosphere, the nursing staff are great, the aides really seem to get to know and care for the residents. I would Definitely recommend them to someone looking for memory care

I recently toured Arden Courts of Whippany. I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the building and the friendliness of the staff and the caregivers . I will definitely consider placing my mother in this facility in the near future.

My aunt is well cared for and is happy whenever I visit. They keep their residents occupied during the day and you can tell they really love their jobs. I like to sit outside with her because they have a lot of outdoor space.

Tour was great and I was so impressed with the community. The staff seems very caring and involved with the residents. I could see my husband enjoying it here. I am planning on moving him in next month.

I am writing to thank the staff at Arden Courts in Whippany for the excellent care my husband, [name removed] is receiving. The staff are amazing and he is receiving the best care. Last year my husband’s health began to deteriorate. He was hospitalized several times and had two surgeries. After each hospitalization he was admitted to a care facility to recover. I was aware of the facilities in my area and none of them could meet my expectations. The care left a lot to be desired. I brought him home after each stay. As time went on I realized that he needed more help than I could provide. I started to look at different providers since I was familiar with the different facilities. When I took the tour at Arden Courts I immediately knew this where my husband belonged. I liked the at home atmosphere. The staff were so friendly, they would interact with the residents, the facility was immaculate.

Best community I have toured. Clean and happy residents and staff. Can tell they care about the people there and have dementia experience and knowledge. If you are looking for a memory care community - you need to tour this one.

I recently toured Arden Courts in Whippany. I was amazed at the high level of care, the attentiveness of the aids, and the cleanliness of the building. The staff was super friendly. I would highly recommend Arden Courts of Whippany for any family that is caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or any other forms of dementia. I give them a 5-star rating.

It’s always clean when I visit. They have a lot of activities for the residents and the employees are engaged. The courtyard is very pretty. They are specialists and can manage all levels of dementia.

The staff was so welcoming and I had an amaxing tour. All of the residents were engaged in activities. I would highly recommend this community to a loved one. Barbara and Sam new the residents by name and you could feel the warmth.

It's been almost one and 1/2 years since my wife came to Arden Courts in Whippany. I was very pleased with it then and more than happy to say it was the right choice for her now. She faced a horrible disease and the staff at Arden Courts did everything to make her comfortable and give her a sense of belonging. The staff was very kind thoughtful and caring. Arden courts does an exceptional job of choosing the right people who understands those patients in need of Memory Care. For anyone who is thinking about a " Home away from home" for their loved one, I would recommend that look into Arden Courts. Looking for a place for my mother with Dementia I found the hidden gem in NJ Arden Courts in Whippany hit all our points. Arden Courts knew everything and made the process very easy for our whole family. The staff is top notch. The place is THE BEST. Super clean and I have to add the whole place is filled with love. Moving your parent to a place is hard, but Arden Courts made it easy. I felt like I was walking into a home NOT a nursing place. I trust the staff and I can see my mother anytime. We haven't had a lot of experience with these types of facilities, so I don't have much to compare it to. Our loved one is still acclimating, and they try to help keep her busy and invite her to all the activities. The staff is great, and it's a great community for memory care support. The activities are constant and varied. They have a lot to choose from and take part in. It's very clean there, although they're in the middle of some renovations right now, but nothing too messy. Our loved one had a sweater turn up missing, so we made a suggestion that the resident doors lock automatically when closed. I would have liked to have seen that from the start, but they did actually install self-locking doors on all of the resident rooms after we brought it up. There's been an issue with unwanted attention from a couple of the male residents who follow our loved one around. Nothing has happened, and it appears to be just dementia-related confusion. We addressed it with the staff, and they made sure the entire staff is aware so they can keep an eye out for it. But essentially unless anything were to happen, there's not a whole lot they can do about it. Overall I think it's a very good facility with great memory care and great staff. I just have some concerns about monitoring of resident interactions.
