Allendale Senior Living Community

Most assisted living facilities require a minimum 30 day reservation for respite stays. Allendale Senior Living has no minimum stay requirements. The facility is clean and is staffed by very competent staff in all departments. An excellent facility with its own skilled care nursing home adjacent to the assisted living facility.

This is an excellent and well run facility. Staff is pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. There are many amenities, services and support for my mother, who is independent, but is looking for a safe supportive enviornment. It is very clean, and there are currently newly renovated rooms. And there is enhanced care as needed. I reccomend this facility.

Transition was difficult but after that the experience is positive. Yes we would recommend this community to other families, but you just need patience in the beginning until everyone learns what help is needed.

Everyone here at Allendale Senior Living is helpful and, pleasant. They can’t do enough for you! Every staff-member my wife and I have met here, has given 2000%! I haven’t had a bad moment or met a disagreeable person since I arrived! We have lived in other communities. This is the nicest. That is why I honestly feel, if you are looking for a beautiful and caring community, this is truly the best place to live.

It's an excellent facility. My parents love it and they are very well taken care of.

After my family engaged in a long and through search for a “just right” senior living situation for my sister and brother-in-law, we were delighted to find Allendale Senior Living. We are especially grateful that nurses are on site and distribute all medicines. We appreciate that transportation is available for rides to and from medical appointments. We are thankful that ASL has different living options that can meet needs that might arise in the future. When we found ASL, we felt like we had found the needle in the haystack. Professionals from Allendale have done an excellent job communicating with our family. It is comforting to know there are people you can talk with as needs arise. Our family’s experience with Allendale Senior Living has been very positive. I highly recommend Allendale as a place that provides high quality care for its residents.

We took my 99 year old mother to look at Allendale Senior Living. [name removed] was a most accommodating, friendly, patient “host”. He showed us more than necessary rooms, gave us suggestions and options and listened to my mother’s questions and requests. The people in the dining room were equally patient and kind and couldn’t do enough for us…

When I walked into the community I was greeted by wonderful staff and a gorgeous lobby. I was toured by a gentleman name anthony and his energy is contagious! During my tour he was showing me all new renovations at allendale, the renovations are beautiful! I did also see a program going on during my tour and all the residents were very engaged during the program, which made me feel more comfortable knowing my mother would fit right now. The atmosphere at allendale is warm and inviting.

This community is tops! Everything about it is warm and inviting including administration, staff and residents. It’s immaculate and offers so much for its residents. Everyone is professional and caring and they strive to make all living there happy and comfortable.

My mother was at allendale years ago and she enjoyed it very much and she always had a smile on her face. The staff cared very much about my mother. She was always dressed, well fed and they always had activities going on. My mother had no complaints about anything. I felt a lot more relaxed knowing that my mother was at a community that also had a sub acute and long term care. I didn’t want to worry about if she ever declined that I would have to go looking for another community that would take care of her on a much higher level of care. Allendale provided me a piece of mind knowing my mother would be at allendale forever. Unfortunately my mother passed away but I was very fortunate that she had a life at allendale. If you want a community to go to for your loved one, this is the place to go too. Thank you to all the hard working staff there! I was looking at a few other places for my great aunt but as soon as I arrived I knew this was the place for her. It’s absolutely stunning, inviting, and so clean! The staff was so kind and warm that we instantly felt connected. It truly is a beautiful place

I have been a resident of Allendale Senior Living for over a year. I was in another facility before I came to Allendale that was not good. The Allendale facility is much better. The staff and nurses are very friendly. I have made many friends with other residents. There are activities and monthly outings. Several months ago a new director came on board who is excellent. Thank you [name removed] for always helping me and being supportive, I appreciate it.

Appreciate all of the love and expert advice given when learning about assisted living options at Allendale Senior Living. Working on getting Dad to move in! The whole process of making this decision was a very tough one but I feel empowered and educated on my options now

The transition period took a while to get things all situated the right way. I think he needed more care than they realized. It is getting better, but it is just a period of time getting to know what exactly his needs are. The facility is very nice, they have lots of activities and the apartments are a great size.

We had a very good experience with the assisted living side of Allendale Senior Living Community. The skilled nursing side was not as good of an experience, they did not have enough staff members working.

I have a friend who is unfortunately staying at this facility. They took her cell phone away as a way to control her from complaining about the poor quality of care she is getting at this facility, clearly a violation of residents rights. The food is terrible, Some of the staff are very rude. I witnessed the poor quality of care being provided, and it's not the place I would want for anyone to be.

Please, do not take your loved one to this facility.

I toured the community and I was pleasantly surprised. everyone was very friendly and attentive. I was there during lunch time and the meals were attractive and smelled amazing! I love the all-inclusive pricing no other facility around the area offers all-inclusive. Definitely I will be moving my loved one into Allendale.

There are various parts of this community, my loved one was in the assisted living and memory care. The assisted living is better than the memory care. The assisted living provides better service. The memory care is more difficult for the staff; however, they are quite good. I fell the staff is overworked and there is not enough staff. I was not happy with the overall supervision of my loved one. My loved one had sepsis while the community. There were questions over where my loved one would be placed. The Head Nurse stated that they wanted him to go back to his private room, due to the memory care and medical issues. My loved one at this point, couldn't walk. I felt the memory care unit felt like an asylum. I understand that is very difficult and very expensive to care for these residents. I couldn't allow my loved one to go back there. So I decided to put my loved one in hospice. I feel like the staff were friendly and nice. I really liked the staff and nurses. I just didn't care for the Head Nurse. The Head Nurse didn't have empathy towards the residents. She felt it necessary to throw him into a room without the bed and this is after him moving from the Assisted Living from Memory Care. I was able to find someone in the Assisted Living area to find a bed and get my loved one settled. This experience affected my opinion on the community with the memory care and medical unit. The director who handled the finances was very helpful and nice.
