For the activities, I can't really give any opinions on this. My husband was bedridden and couldn't participate. My husband declined and Family Pillar's hospice care came in every day and care for him until he passed away. I would recommend this community to other families, I used the facility in Bath. With that said. I was there every other day and as he declined I was there every day. I think with any facility if family isn't there in a regular basis things can slip through the cracks.... My stepfather needs a little more one on one care ( example -shaving, he has lost and never found his eyeglasses and dentures). However based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend the Alexandria Manor Senior Living Center to other families.

Overall our loved one seems to be very satisfied with Alexandria Manor community. We have some family that goes to visit more often and it sounds like the housekeeping our loved ones apartment could be a little better - just more frequent vacuuming. Also it sounds like they could pay a little more attention to the residents, not in terms of care but just looking after them. However anytime our family has a question or concern and we bring it to the staff's attention and they are on top of it right away.

The staff are caring and have gone well above and beyond to accommodate my loved one. The Facility is clean and never smells. I'm really pleased with the service and the care that he gets, especially considering the cost. Compared to other places I looked at, it's truly a good value.

We chose Alexandria Manor because it was recommended to us. When we went to tour we were impressed with what we saw, we were also on a time crunch and they had availability when we needed it. Out of the ones we looked at, this seemed like the best fit for us. We go on a regular basis and staff have always been extremely friendly. I would recommend them to others looking.

I was not impressed with this community. The cost was a lot higher and the room that my loved one would be in I thought would have been a lot better and it was not.
I was not impressed with the security in the front of the community. There was no one at the front desk as well as no sheet to sign in and out. This community opens out into a busy road. The room where they do the activities was downstairs and felt dreary. The staff were super nice. We did not think this community would work for our loved one.

No reception - had to look for main office. My contact was at another facility, so the secretary showed me the facility. She handed me a stack of papers stating I needed to review and sign before they do a resident survey. It had an odor and I was really not happy. My concern is the entrance is not monitored.

The community is small and has three floors. The food is served buffet style. Mom is on a special diet and she seems to like the food. They have an exercise class in the morning and bingo in the afternoon. The community is very clean. Mom has her own room and bathroom. The staff seem very nice and helpful.

This community does a great job at helping there residents transition into there new living environment. My loved one has the chance to go stay there on the weekends to get used to the facility and other residents before the final move. I have no complaints about the meals and the activity program seems exciting and fun.

Alexandra Manor has larger semi private rooms where you don't feel like you are on top of the other person. Each person has room to maneuver around and room for guest to visit. It is reasonably priced. Dinning rooms on each floor with a little gathering area. In the basement there is physical therapy a beauty salon laundry and the kitchen. There are private rooms available too.

Happy with decision of having Dad staying with this facility. Like that it is smaller than most places I looked at. Staff is friendly and available when needed.

I did not like the facility. It did not appear to be very clean. I also toured the Nazareth location and it was beautiful it just seeme a little cold and dark inside.

A Place for Mom has scored Alexandria Manor Senior Living Center 8.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
