I give ALDEA GREEN five stars across-the-board. The staff, everyone is super friendly. They communicate very well, my mom is super happy. We are also happy with her there. I cannot express enough how great this place is. The facility and staff are very welcoming, super nice and they communicate with you. The head nurse gave me her personal cell phone number so I can reach her directly if I ever have any questions regarding my mom. I'm just so happy that we found a place like this and would highly recommend.

Aldea Green smelled like pee. All the residents gathered in the center atrium by the entrance, they looked bored & uninspired. It made me sad though, I liked that room the best & I liked that it was a smaller community.
[name removed] in sales did a great job. She was very pleasant and helped us get my mom in quickly. Now that she's all moved in, my mom seems very happy - and that makes me happy. They're a little short-staffed, but the staff who are there are good. She tells me the food is very good. She 's happy with the activities - things like crafts, bingo, dominos, and events they hold for the residents. Our only comment would be it smells like urine sometimes, but that could just be a challenge that comes along with senior living. Overall she's very happy happy there.

This has been a great experience with the community for the family and our loved one., The staff seem nice and competent. The communication with the staff has been good overall. There are three meals a day served to the residents, and the residents have choices to choose from. Some of the activities available include: garden walks, field trips, and more for the residents to participate in if they choose to. The activities are included in the monthly rate. Some of the care types include, bathing, housekeeping, medication management, and more for our loved one.

Our family visited Aldea Green on one of many scheduled tour stops. The facility was nice, could use some more modern updates in our opinion but everyone was welcoming and very friendly.
We are very pleased our loved one's care at Aldea Green.
You always here a lot of bad things with assisted living. I was very impressed with the staff and taking care of each individual resident. You could tell they really care at Aldea Green for each and every person there. Very nice place!

I toured Aldea Green and I found it to be average, it was okay. I had seen this place before because it's close to where I lived. The preschool I worked with would come by and do Christmas caroling for their residents. The rooms were smaller and the cost was more expensive because you can't be independent. The cook came out and expressed that they are very concerned about how you eat. They kept going on about food, food, food. They made us a little cake, which was nice. My sister said it was delicious, I couldn't eat it as I was on a liquid diet during that time. They had a group thing with a bunch of women having a wine social. I can't drink wine, but I thought that was great. The lady giving the tour had to excuse herself for a minute, and at that moment my sister went out to bring the car around. While they were gone I asked one of the residents how she liked the place. She replied, "I hate it here, what do you think?" Another one said, "My family put me here." I don't really know about this place, it was just kind of average. It was okay, just not my cup of tea. When I went on my tours, I asked questions about their evacuation plan in the event of a hurricane or bad weather. The lady replied that they've never had a flood - which was a lie. I know that that street floods very bad. They may not have had to evacuate, but it does flood. I'm very familiar with and have lived in that area, so I'm aware of how it can get. The community was clean, but not super clean. There was a resident who said she was hungry during our tour and the lady said, "Ok we will get you something to eat after this tour". In my personal opinion, I would have rather waited while they got her something. They did assure her, but my preference would have been to get her a snack first before showing me around. But, maybe there are reasons I don't understand like dietary restrictions
The staff members at Aldea Green have been super friendly and based on the overall experience we have had so far we would recommend this community to other families. We have not eaten a meal there ourselves but from what our loved one says they seem to be good. Our loved one does not participate in the activities, but from what we can tell the actvities seem great.

Make sure (up front) that you set and know the expectations & know the basic costs. There are different levels of care; what does each level of car entail and is the individual actually receiving that level of care? For example: level 2 or B - are you really getting that service for the additional cost per month? When inquired, we found out the answer was "no" - so I had to have my loved one reassessed and now we are just getting the basic level of care. I like the location, it's convenient for me. As far as improvements, they should check in on the residents on some kind of a regular basis. My loved one has made a lot of improvements since they've been there with their physical therapy. I did think that there would be a doctor on duty or accessible. There was a time where my loved one thought they had an infection and we had to go outside of the community to receive treatment & tests. I thought that service would be available - whether for a fee or not. I figured there would be an on-site doctor, RN, or consult. If that is available, my loved one did inquire and it seemed like there was no help, so we had to go a different route. Overall I would recommend Aldea Green to other people and I actually already have.

Do not waste you time and monies with this place its awful, dangerous/unsafe with no staffing around and they keep everyone dirty/wet with their own urine. The staff are horrible, they don't care and are only there for a paycheck. They seem cheaper but you get what you pay for, stay away!!!!!

We've been happy with Aldea Green. I think of late they may have had some staffing issues though, which is evident in the services that are provided. We didn't notice any issues when we first went there. But they're still a very pleasant, friendly community.
What our family really likes about the Aldea Green community is that it is centrally location, easy to get to and good quality staff members who do a decent job at looking after the residents in the community.
It is a great place and we are very happy with our experience.

Our loved one there is very satisfied with the community. The feedback we have heard about the food is that he loves it and the meals are delicious. Since everyone has been vaccinated they are able to have a lot of activities which he is satisfied with. He is also satisfied with the value.

The only thing consistent about this facility is taking your money. There is no daily well check for residents. Our loved one was sick in their room and didn't go to the dining room for two days and no one noticed. The hot water is consistently out, the facility is dirty and we had to purchase a vacuum for our resident because she was told their vacuums were all broken. She puts her trash outside her room and it's not picked up for days. They expect her to get down on her hands and knees to defrost/clean her refrigerator. They leave residents with dementia screaming for hours, upsetting other residents. The director is lazy and inept.

Old derelict building. Loud annoying music through hallways, either rap or Elvis all day over and over. Half time food has to be thrown in garbage. Change your own bed. No regular cleanings of restroom. No activities. Clients wait around for hours for scheduled activities. Carpeting is black and filthy. On holidays staff has own parties and closes windows off so residents don’t see. Terrible inappropriate holiday decorations, sculls and spiders for Halloween, grinches for Christmas. Personal items disappear from rooms. Currently one resident has barking dog across from dining room barking at everyone non stop. Pay lots extra for bathing help, med distribution etc. no transportation. Verbal abuse to residents. Loud Spanish speaking workers in cafeteria, not peaceful or enjoyable. Inappropriate touching by cafeteria workers with residents during Covid and serving food. Don’t send a loved one here.

A Place for Mom has scored Aldea Green 8.6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
